This restriction occurs due to maintenance work and the necessary natural regeneration process of the lagoons. The measure aims to allow the ecosystem to complete its natural cycle and preserve its environmental conditions. This decision is part of the commitment to the protection and conservation of natural resources, promoting conscious, responsible, and sustainable tourism. Itinerary
Walk to the beginning of the trail where you can visit the 7 lagoons. Surprise yourself with the crystal clear waters of the lagoons and ask yourself how such a thing is possible in the middle of nowhere. Since March 3, 2025, you can swim in one of the lagoons.
As part of the route to the Baltinache lagoons, we pass through the Llano de la Paciencia where we have the Cordillera de Sal on one side and the Cordillera de Domeyko on the other. That road takes about 1 hour to go and then another hour to return.

An Amazing Experience
Andres was my guide for this tour and he provided an amazing experience!! He was very friendly and informative. As someone that struggles with understanding Spanish his attentiveness during the entire tour was wonderful. He even got some lively pictures of me floating in the lagoon which was really appreciated. If you are the fence about this tour I say go for it and book it today.

We did the hidden lagoons tour of Baltinache - breakfast was okay, it was very cold, we caught an atypical climate period in Atacama, so several parks were closed. We liked them because everything was closed, canceled, and we went in person to the agency and there was a spot, everything was very practical, the price was the same as everyone else, very practical and easy to resolve. The ride itself is very beautiful but very fast. Because of the cold, we just got in the water and got out
