Heritage Park Admission

Awesome, the museum has so many automotive items that I was familiar with but hadn’t seen in many years. Train was nice and a respite from the walking we did. Great items in the gift shops. The blacksmith presentation was really nice.

This is an absolutely terrific place for all. Adults, kids and anyone that loves history, amusement parks, cars, trains, etc. will love this place. The Gasoline Alley museum is one of the finer automotive museums we've been to and there is a train, a steamboat, oil well, windmill and numerous other things to see and do. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the amusement park rides. You can easily spend the whole day here!

We had a great day at the Heritage Park - far exceeding our expectations. Parking was $13 for the day (pay at rather confusing machines). It was quite a long walk from there to the main part of the site but there was plenty to see en route. We started with a ride on the Paddle Steamer which was relaxing and enjoyable and then took the steam train around the site. We subsequently visited a selection of houses and other buildings which were fascinating - especially when the always-friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff told us about their history. We learned a huge amount about the settling of the province and establishment of farms by immigrants. The exhibitions of train carriages and cars were fascinating - in fact there was so much to see that we only covered half of what we wanted to visit in one day. There are plenty of good and reasonably priced places to eat and loads for children to do. This was the best Heritage site we have ever visited and was a wonderful day out. We look forward to returning to see more and strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Calgary.

The park is huge with a great assortment of things to do and see. We especially liked the car museum, ferry ride, antique trains and train ride.

We love heritage Park from the train to the horse wagon ride! The cookies from the bakery were so good we begged the recipe!

This was a wonderful experience. I loved learning about historical Canadian culture. (Visiting from Atlanta GA). Rode the train, watched the reenactment events, visited many of the buildings on the sight, talked to a lot of re-enactors, picnicked, and just had a great time.

The park has to have the friendliest staff in the world. Every contact I had was so inviting. The admission fee was reasonable for everything that was offered. I arrived later than I planned, so there were things I did get to do, even in the 4 hours I was there. Each area had its own theme, and the staff were dressed for the time and place they were located. As an international visitor an did not have a car. Getting to and returning from was challenging. This is my only criticism.

Outstanding historical venue, from the moment you enter until you leave you're immersed in the history that built Alberta. Villages from all eras, trained docents/actors and actual First Nation representatives take you back to historical events, answer questions, and provide a terrific opportunity for both young and not-so-young visitors to learn about the people and places of Alberta in a unique and !memorable way. My husband is disabled and uses a walker. There is a bus for transport with a terrific driver, the steam train has a special car with a lift for visitors with mobility issues, and Gasoline Alley has elevators to all levels of the automobile museum!

There is so much to do and see! The people running each house provide very interesting background info and stories. You do get a nice glimpse into life in the past. We loved trundling around the park on the train. Gasoline Alley is a wonderful addition you can easily spend 2+ hours inside. The vehicles are simply amazing and I love all the old gasoline pumps. There is so much to see that you really need multiple days to see everything. A must-see if you are in Calgary.
