Great introduction to Fairbanks. Kendall was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting. Pipeline and Santa's House particularly good.
We had 5 hours available between hotel checkout time & airport check-in & reading the reviews we chose this "City Tour." We had a great time with Kendall our tour guide. He was so personable & knowledgeable. He took us to 2 museums (guiding us through them), the SantaClaus/Silver Bells Village at North Pole, an awesome Alaska Bowl company & even somewhere we've been before but were interested in what he could teach us. We were not disappointed in his knowledge of the Alaskan Pipeline; we were fascinated! In all it took 4 hours & we are thrilled with what we learned!
Kendal did a great job! Saw the Alaskan Pipeline, Bowl making factory . Our guide was very friendly and informative and enjoyed what he does. Highly recommend!
This was a nice tour. Only 8 people in our group. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and even funny at times. It was nice being picked up at our hotel.
After such a wonderful experience the day before, we booked a second tour with AK Bucket List Tours, and we're so glad we did! Since my daughter is interested in attending the University of Alaska Fairbanks to study Wildlife Biology and Conservation, Gina helped us customize the beginning of our day to include UAF's Large Animal Research Station (LARS). Our guide, Kendell, took us there first, where we learned all about muskoxen, reindeer (and how they differ from caribou), and bison. It was an incredible experience and a perfect addition to our visit to UAF. Next, Kendell took us to The Crepery for brunch, and it was absolutely delicious! After picking up another couple, we continued on to the Heart of Fairbanks Tour. One of our stops was the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, where Kendell explained not only how it was built, but why it was engineered the way it was. Throughout the drive, he shared fascinating facts about Fairbanks, the surrounding landscape, local wildlife, and the science behind the region. We especially appreciated how much context he gave us; as a science teacher myself, it made every stop even more meaningful. We also visited North Pole, explored the Great Alaska Bowl Company for unique souvenirs, and stopped at the Morris Thompson Cultural & Visitors Center, where we learned about Alaska's rich history, cultures, and the people who have called this region home. We finished the day at the Museum of the North on the UAF campus, which was the perfect ending to our trip. The exhibits beautifully tied together everything we had learned over the past two days: from Alaska's geology and wildlife to its Indigenous cultures and history. Both Gina and Kendell were fantastic guides, and what really stood out to us was how willing they were to customize our experience around our interests while sharing their genuine passion for Alaska. We highly recommend AK Bucket List Tours to anyone visiting Fairbanks!
Knowledgeable driver/guide. Saw good highlights of Fairbanks. Would've liked more time at the museum
Great experience! I was solo and joined another couple. It was a great intimate tour that allowed me see so much of the city before I had to sadly head home.
Thank you so much! We're thrilled you enjoyed the tour and hope to welcome you back for another Alaska adventure someday!
Packed in some great Fairbanks sights. Combined history, culture and interesting facts. Our guide was great.
We had a great time with Kendall as our guide. You can tell he has a passion for what he does. The pipeline was so interesting and I learned so much about it. The North Pole stop is great if you’re looking for a gift. For me I loved the bowl factory stop. They are just beautiful. The last stop was the museum where I could have spent more time. So much to see and read. This is a great tour with a little bit of everything. There were only a total of five guest so it was perfect.
We truly appreciate your kind words! It was a pleasure sharing Fairbanks with you. Safe travels, and thanks for choosing AK Bucket List Tours!
Tour picked up at hotel spent four hours with visit to north poll, wood carving and museum of Alaska - You should take snacks - and water as you would need on your own with visits. Retuned to hotel. Traveled by van - good tour guide with knowledge of the area
Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so glad you enjoyed the sights, history, and your guide. We hope to see you again on your next visit to Alaska! We also appreciate your advice we know have snacks and some drinks on tour.
