Long drive, cramped bus but seeing the volcano was special.

Likey the only opportunity to you will ever have to see an active volcano. A must see from many view points.

I guess my expectations were higher than they should have been. Our guide was absolutely fantastic, Mel was his name. I didn’t know what to expect but I wasn’t as impressed as I thought I would be with the sites. Mel made it as good as it was. He was so full of very interesting knowledge. If it wasn’t for him, it would have been a big disappointment

Volcano tour

Our guide Mel was top notch. I love locals who know their history and the details of what they are showing us. He was personable and funny and took a lot of time narrating.

Very good tour! ❤️‍🔥

My partner and I were really looking forward to this tour, and it didn’t disappoint! Mel was our guide, and we were very impressed with his seemingly endless knowledge of the island, and the general organisation of the trip. Our group was pleasant, and of course Mel made sure we had/knew all that we needed to at each stop. It was a long tour for sure, i.e it can be more than 10+ hours long depending on how everyone goes regarding punctuality, and it’s a pretty long drive to get to one side of the island and back all in a day but Mel and the people in our group made it a fun experience nonetheless. Would highly recommend! Thanks for having us guys!!! Mahalo 🤙🏾

Once-in-a-Lifetime Kīlauea Experience

Our Kīlauea Volcano tour was truly unforgettable. We were incredibly fortunate to witness Eruption Episode 51, and our outstanding guide, Jim Carey, nimbly pivoted the tour to get us to an amazing vantage point. Watching the eruption unfold before us was a breathtaking, once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will never forget. Even without the eruption, Jim would have made this an exceptional tour. His depth and breadth of knowledge about the Big Island went far beyond the typical memorized tour-guide script. His genuine love for the island and his passion for its culture, mythology, history, and natural wonders, came through in every story he shared. Jim’s knowledge, enthusiasm, and ability to adapt in the moment made an extraordinary day even more memorable.

First Timers on the Big Island

This was our first trip to the Big Island. Mel, our tour guide, was prompt and knowledge about not only all the stops along the way but HI history as well. Every stop was an appropriate amount of time, especially at that delicious bakery and Volcanoes National Park. Thank you, Viator, for sending information in advance regarding closed-toe shoes and ponchos. We definitely got caught in some rain during our excursion.
