Hanalei Kayak and Snorkel
The Kayak experience was fantastic our guide, Chance Kolo was fun and attentive and shared lots of history of his family and town. Unfortunately people were late and we started nearer to 3:00 rather than 2:00. We also returned nearer to 5:15 rather than 6:00. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience!

Big thanks to those guys for getting some awesome pics for us and airdropping them before we left. We saw at least 3 sea turtles and so many fish! Highly recommend doing this experience. Thanks to all you guys at kayak hanalei!!

Amazing
The place was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. After checking in, they give you wet bags to load your things in. They give you snorkel gear, life jackets, and a tutorial. The launch is really easy on a ramp. The river is nice and smooth, but the ocean is a little rougher. When you arrive at the beach, take your shoes off before getting out of the kayak because the beach sand is really soft and the shoes drag you down. The guide had to help me out of the water. We saw a turtle and plenty of fish while snorkeling. Overall, it was an amazing excursion. The guides make it a lot of fun and were super friendly.

Rent from somewhere else
I would recommend renting a kayak or standup paddle board from any of the other rental places in town.
They charge a premium price for the rental. Once you’re on the water, they will not allow you to return to get water, use the bathroom or anything else. Not very Aloha spirit and no exceptions.

Fun and educational day
We so enjoyed our day on the water with Gabe and Kolo! Their tips for kayaking were helpful and we appreciated the knowledge they shared about Kaua’i. They let the kayakers have autonomy while keeping everyone’s safety in mind. Snorkeling was a blast. The charts of what we might see were helpful and in addition to many fish we were lucky enough to see a sea turtle! Can’t say enough positive things about these guides … knowledgeable, friendly, funny and a pleasure to spend the day with! Thank you

Great guide and beautiful...
Great guide and beautiful view! I wasn’t sure where we were going to snorkeling at Hanalei Bay, was pleasantly surprised at this secluded beach in front of the 1 Hotel. Calm water and lots of corral reef with colorful fish.
