Excellent Elephant Experience
This was a fantastic trip. Pick up from our hotel and a short journey to the sanctuary, where we were met by our guide. The whole place was dedicated to rescue and sanctuary. Lots of interesting information about what they do and why etc… We engaged in making paper from elephant poo, made energy balls for them to eat, and fed them those and watermelon. It was all very calm, informative and kind. If you wanted to you could help wash them and reapply sun cream (mud), but this is optional.
Afterwards, we helped make some Pad Thai and all are together. Fabulous experience with our children (10 & 12). It was extremely good value.

Amazing experience with these beautiful animals, you can see the are well taken care of and loved. I learned a lot and even got to cook Pad Thai! We fed them, bathed them and covered them in mud. The food we ate was delicious and everyone was very nice.

Excellent Experience at the Samui Elephant Sanctuary
The elephant sanctuary was a beautiful experience. The elephants in this sanctuary are well looked after, the guide was very knowledgeable and funny, the activities were interactive and interesting. Best part was being able to bathe the elephants! We truly enjoyed everything about this experience and highly recommend this sanctuary to anyone planning to visit elephants who are genuinely cared for and well looked after.

Fantastic Elephant Sanctuary
What a great privilege to visit such a beautiful ethical elephant sanctuary. Stunning elephants living the life they truly deserve and looked after with genuine kindness and respect. Totally recommend visiting this sanctuary…and what’s more, the vegetarian lunch was also very tasty!

It was fine.
Visiting the elephant sanatorium on Ko Samui, you could experience the animals in a safe, species-appropriate environment. The elephants were cared for lovingly, had ample space and access to natural food. The respectful treatment without coercion or shows made the stay an educational and touching experience that puts the protection of these majestic animals first.

Unethical to elephants. Not a true rescue
Unethical elephant sanctuary. Not a true and ethical rescue centre. They are physically rough with the elephants and have tourists bathe them which is unethical and scares them.

Elephants rule
It was wonderful to see the elephants so well cared for in their natural environment and it was a nice experience to be able to get close to them and feed them and wash them. Although you need to be brave to be standing in those waters where the elephants do their business.
The staff were amazing and the elephants adorable. Food was delicious, very clean showers for when you got very muddy. Highly recommend this.

Lovely Elephant Sanctuary experience.
Excellent organisation from the Cruise Ship jetty, we were taken by mini bus on a 30 minute ride to the Elephant sanctuary.
The Sanctuary staff were really lovey and a great commentary and presentation was made in excellent English to explain the operation.
The elephants themselves are a joy to Pat, photograph and feed with adequate fruit provided by the Staff, they are obviously happy and very well looked after.
Great fun afterwards in their bathing pool, scrubbing and washing them down.
( Ensure you take additional clothes to change back into.)
A really good lunch was provided with a great range of local food dishes.
Friendly Driver in a nice cool vehicle took us back to the Port after a really, super experience.

Would come again
We wanted to visit a true sanctuary for elephants & what a great experience. The host, feed, bathing and providing mud baths to the elephants was awesome. My son's got a kick out of helping prepare lunch- unexpected. My son's 21yr & 14 had a blast. Black Americans in Thailand, best trip!
