Half-Day Tour to the Valley of the Kings, Deir EL Bahari &Collosi of Memnon

I ended up booking a full day tour of the sites in Luxor with Ananoub and found him by chance but I am SO glad I did! I booked the tour very last minute the evening before and he graciously made all arrangements very quickly. At the advice of Ananoub we got our day started very early in the Valley of the Kings, I’m SO glad we did since because of his advice I was literally the first one to arrive beating all the crowds (and the heat) and had the entire Valley and all of the tombs to experience by myself! It was truly unforgettable and I have amazing photos that he was able to take of me. Abanoub gave very engaging explanations. I was so impressed by Abanoub’s ability to gauge my level of knowledge of subjects and then adapt his talks from there. He also kindly shared his personal experiences of living in Egypt, and when he realized I was interested in learning more about the culture and day to day life in Luxor he took me to an amazing local place for breakfast where I had some of the best food of my trip! We then made our way to Temple of Hatshepsut, and then Karnak. Hearing the way he talks very lovingly of his former tours or “friends” as he referred to them, it’s so clear he loves his job and takes great pride in his work and the relationships that he forms. For what it is worth, I did this tour as a solo female traveler and felt incredibly safe and so well taken care of the entire time, and I would highly recommend Abanoub! This was one of my favorite days of my 2 week trip and he was by far the best guide I encountered my entire journey.

We arrived at 9.30 pm and texted him. He promptly replied and committed to be our guide in the next two days. Despite our different ideas, he strongly suggested all visits to be carried out in the early morning. TOTALLY WORTH IT! Amazing experience: the sites were empty and we were able to enjoy every single moment in a peaceful and restful way. Super reliable he was always out of our hotel in time and thoroughly respected the schedule every time. Highly available in accommodating our requests and answering all our questions and curiosities on top of his already very extensive explanations. He studied for 4 years Egyptology and has university degree and this was clearly evident from the first moment. Worth to mention, in the Valley of Kings, where guides are not allowed to enter, he spent one hour after the visit to explain us what we saw inside the site with also cards and other visual support. At the end of our scheduled appointments he showed us around the city and local culture for a friendly and very enjoyable afternoon. At the end of the day, knowing we had some issues for evening bookings, he leveraged on his network and filled all our gaps. We definitely recommend him as guide in Luxor to have a full experience and also find a new friend/family!

Outstanding tour guide in Egypt It would already be enough to remark the superb job done by Abanoub as a guide. However, providing the reader with a bit of background will enhance my feedback. We’ve been traveling 17 days for a full immersive experience from lower to upper Egypt with our host Abanoub. Us, includes a 11 y/o future Egyptologist whose expectations have only been increasing since we had to cancel our travel in 2020. Abanoub has been able to quickly understand our priorities, way of traveling, likes and things to avoid. He has easily and naturally stablished a very good personal relationship with us and moreover, he has succeeded being a teacher and a new friend for the future 11y/o Egyptologist! Abanoub is always looking for the best visit, best walks, best time, best moments, best spots, fully focused on his guests as per their style. Still being a young person, Abanoub has developed such a good personal skills for his job, only understandable as a consequence of his passion on what he does and passion for his guests. 17 days is a long time for talks. Abanoub has been able to tell a streamlined chronological and linked story, considering history and visited places. Hats off… The 17 days travel through Egypt have exceeded our expectations. We’ve been able to live very special and emotional moments thanks to how good Abanoub has managed our expectations, priorities and beyond all that, the passion that has enhanced on my 11 y/o daughter and future Egyptologist. Forever grateful for your outstanding job Abanoub!

Great tour with Abanoub. We booked him in particular because we had such a good experience with him for our tour of the east bank a few days earlier. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly guide who took care of all the arrangement for us. Just had to show up at out hotel lobby and spend the rest of the time focusing on the sightseeing.

Great guide. Thorough, cultured and rigorous but also kind, pleasant and fun. Best of both worlds: local with international sensibilities.

Abanoub was a fantastic tour guide. He had an incredible knowledge of the places we visited and I learnt so much from him. He answered all my questions and was happy to discuss topics of particular interest further. He ensured we had refreshments and snacks and also took us for the most delicious Koshari dish for lunch which I highly recommend. Abanoub was very professional and friendly and I really enjoyed my tour with him.

We had a fantastic day. Our guide was very informative, happy and spoke great English. We are so pleased we travelled from the coast to see some of what Luxor has to offer, it was epic.

Our guide met us early in the morning and transport took us straight to The Valley of the Kings. The guide was an Egyptologist, before we entered he shared the history and significance of what we were about to witness. Seeing Valley of the Kings is a once in a lifetime experience and must be done with a guide to be truely appreciated. I highly recommend visiting King Tut’s tomb! After our guide arranged transport to Queen Hatshepsut’s temple which must be seen whilst in Luxor! From start to finish I learnt so much and the logistics of the trip were fantastic. 5 stars! 👍🏻

We met abnoub our tour guide in Aswan station The first thing what really impressed was his kind gesture and politeness Why I call this the best experience and tour of our life time is the guide being part of our tour and also explicitly explaining each and everything about the places we visited. We started with Luxor temple and sphinx avenue which was mind blowing to know the architect Unfinished Obelisk is a huge structure in single stone And to know about the ancient civilisation their life style is what we were really impressed with I being a person who is more interested in historical aspect and to know the civilisations Abnoub proved to be a right person as he explains everything as we walk around the places. Hot air balloon was not included in our itinary initially but when we were discussing about hot air balloon he suggested that it is worth visiting and it was indeed the best decision I can say. He also took us to the local restaurant and we tasted Koshari it was delight to the palate. I would recommend Anoub as his fluency and knowledge is what has made our trip to Egypt the best one.

Really good experience Starting from railway station at aswan. We never imagined we get a good guide like Abanoub. We were so relaxed through the trip as each and everything our itenary were taken care. His explanation for all the sites we were visited were so brief and to the point that we were able to understand fully and it was not boring. Cruising on Nile river was awesome experience. We got our marriage anniversary wishes from cruise staff arranged from our guide- which was surprising as well as pleasant. One should be lucky enough to get guide like Abanoub
