Great memories

Hosted by Darlene, we were exposed to a memorable tour of 4 vineyards in Blenheim. She went out of our way to accomodate our tastes and other requirements. She is extremly knowledable about wine production (having qualified worked in the industry for a number of years) and we all learnt numerous new facts about wine. Nothing was too hard for Darlene and we unreservedly recommend Hop n Grapes, especially Darlene, to anyone looking for a wine trail guide.

Wine tour with van

Well organized wine tour with small company of different nationalities who interact nicely. Well organized, perfectly executed with nice vineyards. Our hostess Darlene did a fantastic job. Would be until 15:30 but it was 17:00 before we were dropped back at our B&B. Nice recommendation.

Amanda for the win

Amanda our guide was absolutely amazing and created a beautiful experience for us today, a curation of 4 different vibes—truly something for everyone. She had a way of fostering connection among the group of otherwise strangers in the group. Felt like we were all old friends. This trip also got me unstuck from Sauv Blancs—I’m kinda into Pinot Gris now. Can’t recommend Amanda enough and the Hop N Grape crew for taking a solo guest at the last minute today. So worth every penny and my 24 hour trip to Marlborough. 🙏

Operator response

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It means a lot to hear that Amanda helped make your short visit to Marlborough so memorable and that you felt welcomed as a solo traveler. We love that you discovered a new appreciation for Pinot Gris along the way. That's exactly the kind of wine adventure we hope our guests have! Amanda will be happy to hear your kind words about the connections she helped create within the group. Thank you for choosing to spend your time in Marlborough with us. We hope to see you back again someday for another glass (or two)! Ngā mihi, Hop n Grape Tours

Great day

Our wine tasting experience was absolutely exceptional. Our guide gave us a thorough and engaging explanation of each vineyard we visited, demonstrating impressive knowledge about the wines, the regions, and the unique characteristics of each estate. Their passion for winemaking truly enhanced the experience. With a wonderful attitude and warm personality, they made us feel relaxed and welcome throughout the day. We especially appreciated that they gave us all the time we needed at each of the four vineyards, allowing us to savor the wines, ask questions, and fully enjoy every stop. It was an unforgettable experience that we would highly recommend.
