It is spectacular how clean and well-maintained the Alhambra is. It is a huge site and almost impossible to see it all well in a single day. The views are impressive, especially of Granada and the entire Alhambra. As an improvement, it would be good to have more restroom and picnic areas to be able to rest during the visit. Without a doubt, a place to return to and finish discovering everything we couldn't see. A totally recommended visit!
Disappointment. DIY tour, terrible organization, there are no signs, path without directions. Some attractions closed, some with specific times that no one told us about, and they did not let us in. Many gardens and few things to visit. I do not recommend visiting.

We went to the alhambra this month and were offered a private tour. We were reluctant at first given the additional cost. We were so glad we did. The alhambra is a complex experience for the first time visitor. We decided to hire an official guide and found that Yoshi Simon Doherty was the very best. He is extremely knowledgeable and gives an astounding presentation. The alhambra experience requires interpretation. Without it a naive visitor misses so much. This tour was well worth the cost. Ask for Yoshi Simon Doherty!
The palace is wonderfull with great historical background. Its worth to visit the place and local guides are excellent. You will learn the historical basics of creation of Spain.

Our guide Gus was amazing really informative. Gave us a really good tour. Would highly recommend. Unfortunately our tour was cut short sure to an earthquake ! In the whole the place is very busy and crowded but with our guide we were kept together and once you are in the gardens. Yiu get to spread out doesn’t feel super busy ( but it was)
Tickets for tomorrow Friday (08/21/2026) Irresponsible: They deny refunds and expose us to danger. With the current earthquakes, the Alhambra has closed areas (such as the Alcazaba) due to risk and rockfalls. However, they refuse to refund the cost of the tickets. It is intolerable that they force visitors to attend in the middle of a seismic alert so as not to lose their money, while also offering an incomplete visit. They prioritize revenue over people's safety. Terrible management. I have already filed a formal complaint with the Regional Government of Andalusia.
