Itinerary
The historic center of Bruges, where a covered harbor about one hundred meters long could once be seen. The old buildings and the interesting facts
The Belfry. The tower that marks the center of Bruges, where the city became wealthy in the Middle Ages and which houses the oldest carillon in the world.
The Burg. Where Judith and Baldwin, princess and knight, laid the foundations for the prosperous city of Bruges.
Where the Lord of Gruuthuse became the richest knight in Flanders. Becoming rich through beer — sounds quite appealing to me.
The place you would have tried to avoid in the Middle Ages. No anesthesia and many diseases.
Probably the most picturesque square in Bruges. And you can enjoy a good meal there.
The oldest brewery in Bruges, with a very ingenious system for transporting beer to the other side of the city.
The Love Bridge, or the Kisses Bridge. Very romantic, yet with a rather macabre side.
How Philip the Fair chose his bride.
The most beautiful promenade in Bruges, but also the oldest harbor of the city.
Wealthy people lived here. It was home to the richest guild of Bruges, but the work they did is certainly not something you would want to do. It was also the smelliest place in Bruges.
The loudest place in Bruges… full of fishwives.
To conclude, a delightful boat trip on the Reien.

Peter was a FANTASTIC guide to Brugge. My older sons (18 and 20) were convinced they would be bored, but they were totally engaged and loved it. We ended up skipping the canal cruise part at the end because it was a long wait in the lines, but other than that it was fabulous.
Peter is a great storyteller which brings the Bruge history alive. He also explains how old local customs gave rise to modern day expressions. This is a wonderful tour!
Peter is fantastic! Very knowledgeable and his commentary is informative with a great deal of humor. You will definitely enjoy spending a couple of hours with him.
Excellent tour! Covered a lot in two hours. Very interesting and informative. Guide had a very pleasant delivery.
Peter was knowledgeable, humorous, and energetic. A perfect guide to the city. Well worth the money.
Very knowledgeable guide. The presentation packed in a lot of info but was entertaining and fun. Clearly very well versed both in the history of the city and in how to present the information to a group in a digestible way.
Fantastic tour! Guide was great and extremely knowledgeable of the history of Bruges and Belgium. A lot of fun and great overall experience. Would not have enjoyed our stay in Bruges nearly as much without this tour.
We highly enjoyed our tour with Peter - he was very informative and gave us a great feel for Bruges given that we were only there for a few hours.
Excellent tour. superb guide (Peter) who was knowledgeable, informative and entertaining. The content of the tour was appropriate on a hot day, the pace appropriate and the locations visited very good. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough ... a wonderful afternoon in a wonderful city.
Peter was amazing. His knowledge was extensive, very engaging, interesting and humorous. His knowledge and relationship with the chocolatiers was wonderful, lovely chocolates. And the boat ride was all rebooked so no long queues! Can’t recommend Peter enough!!!
