Description
The Basilica del Pilar, symbol of Zaragoza, has a rich history and priceless art. For 90 minutes, you will discover the history of the Virgin of Pilar, some of the legends that emerged around her and how her figure continues to accompany the Zaragozanos. We will learn about Goya’s relationship with the city and the temple through two magnificent frescoes, one of them was his first important professional commission and the other, his masterpiece in religious art, is surrounded by controversy. We will see the architectural evolution of the temple, which has witnessed multiple transformations, fires, floods, miracles and a century-old work until it reaches its current appearance.
