Our tour guide never showed up. The company got a substitute but we waited about 40 minutes until she came. Once started, the tour was very good.
Bumpy start the guide Luigi was a no show and had to recruit another guide Maria. After a 40 minute wait like an angel Maria came running down the cobblestone street to save the English tour. What a gem.
The tour was changed from 10:30 to 4:30. Due to the tour guy being unwell. I thought we would be able to make it. We were not because of previous commitments. Requested a credit.
If you are looking for an individual 1 to 1 tour Aldo is your man. He will take you to the places the mass tour guides take you. He has lived in the Sassi all his life, such a pleasant and knowledgeable man.
Fantastic tour discovering a beautiful city like Matera, thanks above all to our guide Giusy who made this visit even more interesting. The experience at the rock church was very evocative and exciting!
