Description
It’s a private trip move from your hotel. It’s a journey told between geology, history, and traditions giving many unusual details- if you like it, we start visiting Floreal a local handicrafts factory. Go through Curepipe city, we arrive at the Trou aux Cerfs, the dormant volcano for over 700,000 yrs, to admire the “caldera” &the 3 highest peaks of Mauritius, with its 360°view. We move through the Black River G. N. Park to the sacred lake Grand Bassin, where you can immerse yourself in Hindu &Tamil culture, in the site of the famous Maha Shivatri pilgrimage, between the various Gods, having fun with the monkeys. We go to viewpoints Alexander Falls and to Gorges before arriving to the bucolic village of Chamarel with the Rhumeria, with all the explanations of the procedure, tasting the different rums. We move to waterfalls and the 7 colored earths, a particular geological site that characterizes this island. We end our tour by relaxing on the beach and a refreshing swim at Le Morne.

Alexander falls – walking in a part of the Black River Gorges National Park we will find a wooden viewpoint that will give us the opportunity to take magnificent photos and see the ocean reef in the south coast.

Gorges View Point – to have a look at the geological conformation of Mauritius, but also the black river district, and the different species of endemic and non-endemic birds of the island- where you can buy some souvenirs too in the little market.
Rhumerie de Chamarel
Rhumeria, in an amazing habitat, produces the famous Rhum from June to December, and even if it is not the harvest period, you will have all the explanations about the eco-sustainable procedure and you can always have degustation of the different tastes produced.
Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth Geopark
We continue towards the famous Chamarel. we will visit this little village, surrounded by spectacular vegetation, with its 783 inhabitants living essentially for nature and for tourist attractions. We move on to visit the spectacular waterfall and visit the 7-colored earth, a particular geological phenomenon that characterizes this island and which always amazes the viewer. you can see even the giant turtles that live there.
Le Morne Beach
After such an intense day we end our tour enjoying a well-deserved relaxation on the beach of Le Morne and a refreshing swim under the UNESCO Heritage mountain

An unforgettable experience in the South of Mauritius with an exceptional guide!

A perfect day 🌸
An absolutely INCREDIBLE day! We were lucky enough to discover a part of Mauritius with Flic en Flac Tour, and what an experience! From Black River Gorges to Chamarel, passing by the rum distillery, the waterfall, the Seven Colored Earth, the magnificent Ganga Talao, and finishing at Le Morne… we were in awe all day long. Each place was more beautiful than the last, but above all, we loved being able to take the time to enjoy each stop and discover the island differently. And then Le Morne to end the day… just magical. The kind of landscape in front of which you stand for a few seconds without saying anything, simply with stars in your eyes. A huge thank you to Flic en Flac Tour for this magnificent day, their kindness, their guidance, and all these memories that we will keep from our stay in Mauritius. ❤️ An experience that we recommend with our eyes closed to anyone who wishes to discover the wonders of Mauritius!

Mauritius as travelers, not simply as tourists
We spent about 11 hours discovering Mauritius with Flic en Flac Tour, on a tourist and cultural itinerary built to measure and with a guide in Italian. A thank you to Fabrizia for her availability and collaboration in building a route together with us that truly met our requests, reconciling places, interests, and available time. And a special thank you to Ashwin, who for an entire day did not limit himself to accompanying us, but told us about Mauritius with competence and passion, helping us to understand its history, cultures, religions, and daily life. What made the difference, however, was above all his care: the attention to our needs, the advice on local cuisine, the willingness to adapt the trip to our pace, and even that thoughtfulness in giving us, through his photographs, many memories of the day. Ashwin allowed us to feel like travelers, not simply tourists, and to get closer for a few hours to the essence of the island and the people who inhabit it. Authenticity and attention to the customer as a fundamental principle
In the many trips we have taken, we have never found a tour operator so attentive to details; Fabrizia is constantly in contact with us clients, and you can ask her for any information, which she will know how to answer with kindness and professionalism (but above all, extreme humanity). The tours are all designed down to the smallest detail, with impeccable organization and time management. We had 3 experiences: a tour of the south, a vanilla plantation with a Creole dinner experience, and a safari with dolphin swimming and snorkeling; we would choose them a thousand times over. If you want to experience the authenticity of the island without getting lost in doubts about what to do, choose them, and they will know how to advise you and offer you the best.
