Pearse was a really excellent guide. He shared interesting knowledge about the area, made sure the pace was right for the group and was a fantastic balance of friendly and professional. He made our experience, let alone the stunning hike itself! Carauntoohil is beautiful. Words wouldn’t do it justice. Cronin’s yard was a great starting point with toilets and a car park and was quite easy to find. A highly recommended experience!
Excellent scramble up the Cummeenapeasta ridge. Great day out with Piaras Kelly expertly guiding us around the ridge. Highly recommend signing up for their guided hikes.
Great experience, guide was sound out
We climbed with Kerry Climbing on Saturday 19th July. What a fabulous day from start to finish. Weather was glorious with sunshine for the entire day which made for ideal climbing conditions. What can we say about our guide - Neil our guide was great. He was so considerate of each and everyone of his group making the climb most enjoyable. We will most certainly be back to explore more mountains with Kerry Climbing. Sharon & Caroline
Summited Carrauntoohil with Piaras. It was such a beautiful day. He took us up O'Shea's Gully and paced out the hike perfectly. We ate at all the right times. Refilled our water at all the right times. I learned about classic Irish television, geology and plants. Highly highly recommend Kerry Climbing.
Had a fantastic climb, would highly recommend Kerry climbing!
My son Ray and myself went on guided tour with Neil on Sat 18th July. I was slow walking and nervous of falling. Neil gave excellent advice, stopped for breaks frequently, was professional and very encouraging throughout.
Great hike. It was a stunning day, brillant views but very challenging physically. Our guide was very patient and supportive to the person (me) who was slower than other members of the group. The lack of toilets at the meeting point is probably not the responsibility of Kerry Climbing but it is an issue for those travelling a distence.
We had a wonderful hike up Ireland’s highest peak. The weather was mixed - no views from the summit - but the experience was still very rewarding. Piaras was an outstanding guide on all fronts. He was clearly very familiar with the trails and able to give us plenty of advice in navigating the challenging sections e.g. Devil's Ladder. He shared great information about the geology, history and culture of the region. We would throughly recommend booking with Kerry Climbing
