Itinerary
We will have a look at one of the most stunning train stations in the world. By the way, Antwerp Central Station is not just a landmark, it’s an incredible place to experience the city’s energy and charm.
We will have a look (only from the outside) and learn about the history of this beautiful building.
With its centuries-old history and iconic architecture, Het Steen is not only a monumental piece of heritage but also a stunning spot to take in views of the river and Antwerp’s skyline.
The MAS (Museum aan de Stroom) in Antwerp is one of the city’s most striking museums—not just for its unique collection but also for its remarkable architecture. The building, a stack of red sandstone blocks with wavy glass panels, draws inspiration from the historic warehouses in the area. Located in Antwerp’s Old Port, the MAS sits in a vibrant neighborhood full of cozy bars, restaurants, and renovated warehouses that now house trendy apartments and workspaces.

We had a very nice guide, Tom. Knew all about history and gave us a nice tour
Wouter was a top hit. The rest of the group had signed off, so Wouter only had the two of us to show around. We were able to submit requests and get to the most interesting places. With 35 degrees outside in the shade, the exhibition building was a relief!
Celine was our guide and she was great! There was some confusion when I booked this tour as they said the guide would speak English. It was, however, a Dutch tour! Luckily for me, Celine translated some important things (and so did one of the fellow tour members) and some Dutch words are similar to German, which I speak. All tours are only in one language, fyi. I still learned a lot and it was a fun tour!
Good explanation with many facts. Also for connoisseurs of the city. Dirk cycles safely through the sometimes busy city and shows beautiful squares where there is a lot to tell about. Not only the past is discussed but also current events.
Did t enthusiastic and fun Great guide
@ cycling with Dirk was a great experience with an amusing story
A great tour with Tom who knew how to share with us and with humor the essentials for a first discovery.
Nice bike ride but the group was too big with 15 people. Maximum for such a bike ride is 8-10 people. The pace was very slow with a lot of stopping moment to keep the group together. We were very sorry about this.
Tom knew how to tell a lot about the city and its history, and did it in a very fun, engaging and humorous way. Also nice that we have heard and seen other things than the familiar highlights.
Super interesting bike ride. Guide has humor, tells the story clearly #cyclingwithdirk
