You will meet our guide at Parque del Poblado or Estadio Metro Station, depending on the option you selected Discover Guatapé: Colombia’s Most Colorful Adventure! Experience a breathtaking 10-12 hour journey from Medellín to the crown jewel of Antioquia. We handle every detail so you can focus on the views and the culture.
We'll stop for a delicious breakfast (INCLUDED), with a choice of three different options. Take the opportunity to and stretch your legs before we continue this amazing journey.
Visit the gigantic Piedra del Peñol where you will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to ascend and descend to the top.
Enjoy LUNCH in a typical restaurant of the region located on the Malecón de Guatapé. We have three options of typical dishes.
In the town of Guatape you will enjoy a walking tour and one hour of free time to explore Guatapé on your own.
We'll take a scenic 40min boat ride across the reservoir, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Along the way, you'll also get to see some of the impressive mansions and vacation homes owned by famous Colombians and enjoy some latin music.
We will make a short stop at República del Alto del Chocho in Marinilla, an interactive countryside experience where you can get up close to llamas, horses, fish, and other animals. You'll have the opportunity to feed, pet, and interact with them while enjoying the beautiful rural surroundings and taking memorable photos.
Return from Guatape to Medellín. We arrive in Parque de El Poblado approximately between 6:00-6:30Pm and Estacion Estadio del Metro between 6:30-7:000Pm

Important Information

- We recommend bringing comfortable shoes and clothes that allow you to walk and a light jacket that lowers the temperature in the afternoon.
- Bring an original or color copy identification document, passport, DNI, or cedula to add them to the travel insurance and also the police may require it.
- It is recommended to bring cash (the climb to the rock only accepts cash and Colombian pesos, 35,000 pesos per person ) ).
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 40 travelers
- The order of the itinerary may change at the guide's discretion
- Remember If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- We adhere to tourism law 300 for No Shows. If you do not arrive at the Meeting Point at the designated time or you do not consume/use the agreed upon services, there will be no refund nor rescheduling.
- We operate in all weather conditions
- The Infant 0-3 year who travel free sit on their parent’s lap on the bus and share their parent’s lunch.

Great experience! The guide was interesting!
It’s a long, but fun day! Definitely wear good walking shoes. I hate heights but couldn’t resist this, it was definitely a challenge, both for my lungs and my fear of heights but really beautiful views at the top. Breakfast was light, so would recommend packing a snack (there’s also plenty to buy at the rock and other stops). The boat ride was better than I expected. Patricia was an amazing guide, communicated well, and taught us a lot about the history and cultural importance of the areas we were driving through and visiting. Would definitely recommend this experience to my own friends and family.

I loved this tour. Wasn't overly exhausting for an all day tour becaise you're being shuttle. We didn't climb the hill but was great site seeing. Alejandro was great.

This was an amazing experience, packed with multiple things to do, the excursion we did also included breakfast and lunch. Our tour guide Patricia was detail and amazing. We really enjoyed our trip. I would definitely recommend doing this excursion.

I really liked the attention from the guides and the administrators; they always showed very good communication. On the other hand, both breakfast and lunch are 100% worth it. The guide Melissa is very good.

Action packed day! Not sure how in the world the tour only cost that much for everything we did! 2 meals! City tour, boat ride, Penol Rock AND Llama farm!!

Overall, the experience was great. Our guide was Patricia. She kept the group well organized. She presented in both Spanish and English and was a fantastic host all day. The trip was well paced, and we were kept well informed throughout the day. I would definitely recommend. Our driver, Alberto, also did a great job getting us safely there and back.
