So informative and fun, we took the 9pm tour and it was awesome! Beautiful picture opportunities and less traffic and people in the evening.
This is a great way to see the landmarks and our guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable and interesting. What we didn’t enjoy is that this is a rain or shine excursion and they will continue dropping you off at each landmark in the middle of a thunderstorm. There are no rain covers on the car or ponchos provided, so I would recommend canceling if the weather looks bad. They will not cancel for you or try to make it more comfortable in any way
What an awesome way to see the monuments and receive history of them. Our tour guide Lawrence was so knowledgeable and had a true passion for the history.
The tour itself is definitely worth experiencing! However, we happened to be seated at the back of a long electric car, which made it hard to see most of what the guide was explaining during the tour. I felt a little disappointed about that.
We had a wonderful experience with guide Maurice. A good amount of historical background and trivia at sites both as we drove past and stopped at . We did the 2 hr evening tour in August and was comfortable in the cute electric open air cars . I really appreciated the small group tour which is worth just a little extra money from the big buses and trolley we saw driving around .
This tour was just what we needed as a family with young kids (ages 7 months-7 years old). It was two hours and we saw all the major sites with minimal walking. Our tour guide, Maurice, was so kind, engaging, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it for families who want to learn and experience the historic sites!
Ask for driver Lawrence D, a 4th generation DC resident who taught history in a local middle school. His insights were informative, and humorous. I’ve been traveling to DC for decades and thought I knew the city, yet he took us to a hidden waterfront park loved by locals that was new to me. Traveling with a friend on crutches, Lawrence checked in on us at every stop to make sure my friend was safe, secure, and comfortable. Sharing a smaller open air electric vehicle with a few other visitors was a relaxing escape that exceeded our expectations.
We were a group of 4, the driver put 3 of us in a row and the 4th person in the front splitting our group up. The row does not fit 4 people so it was s very uncomfortable ride the entire trip.
Eric was excellent. Very informative and he kept us laughing! Well done. Saw lots of sights and he was full of interesting history about DC!
The tour operator contacted me and advised they did not have enough guests for our morning tour. He provided a few options that just didn’t work for us. He offered an alternate time the same day and just an hour later, which did work for us. We were the only guests on the vintage (electrical) car. Our guide, Javier, was pretty good as he drove and talked. We had a couple of spots where we got out and walked on our own at specific monuments. He even dropped us off at the end at a Smithsonian we were interested in. It a good day and we did receive some personal service. We would recommend this tour.
