Fascinating and fact-filled tour!

This tour is a must for anyone interested in learning more about the Hurricane of 1900 and its impact on Galveston. Our guide Gin was *incredibly* knowledgeable. She started our tour in the County Museum--giving us a bit of background on the storm and its impact on the city--then we hit the streets to see particular points of interest. Gin was an engaging and animated guide, happy to field any questions and a great source of recommendations for books, etc. She also graciously provided some restaurant recommendations at the end of our tour. The 2+ hours with her flew by and we walked away with a new appreciation for all that Galveston has endured and the undying spirit of those who call it home. Can't recommend this tour and guide highly enough!

Info packed fun tour

Jen was awesome! Information packed tour - I swear Jen never took a breath, which made the tour very fun and very interesting. I never been to the Galveston County Museum, and that was very cool. The walk around the Strand (which we’ve been to often) was very informative - hearing the stories behind the buildings that survived was great. I won’t walk down the Strand again without remembering those buildings and stories.

Fabulous Tour

This tour starts in a museum for the hurricane of 1900 and then you take a walk around town to see spectacular buildings and hear stories of what happened that day… There is sadness but miracle stories as well!

Such a history buff about Galveston ;-)

Our guide was a walking encyclopedia. Her excitement was contagious. Down to earth and we just loved her stories about the people that survived. Michael and Niki
