We had an amazing Grand tour with our guide Jack and our driver Shan. They went above and beyond to make our day enjoyable. Jack was knowledgeable, friendly, and made every stop interesting with great stories and local insights. Shan was an excellent driver—safe, professional, and always courteous. Together they made a fantastic team and made sure everyone was comfortable and having a great time. Thank you both for an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this tour!
Me and my wife booked this tour as it is our first time visiting Hawaii. We wanted to see Pearl Harbor and we booked this tour from the street. Our bus arrived and it had no air conditioning running and it is July so it was extremely hot. Everyone was complaining about how hot is was inside the bus, so my wife stood up and went to ask the driver to turn the AC on, but she got yelled at by the crazy bus driver. When I tell you this guy was absolutely INSANE, he really lost it. He started yelling at my wife to sit down and there was no AC. He YELLED and started shouting for no reason. We got to Pearl Harbor and I went to ask him why he was yelling, she was simply asking to turn the air on. This driver now started to shout at me saying to get away from him, this is his home country and he became utterly racist towards me because I am not from Hawaii. But it gets worse, while this is happening at Pearl Harbor this man starts to yell and shout and CALL THE NAVY on me. Facing sheer embarrassment this was absolutely unacceptable. He started to threaten me and say I am a dangerous person and for them not to let me inside Pearl Harbor. I spoke to the Navy officer in charge and they let us in we went to Pearl Harbor but from how the morning started we didn't even want to continue the tour. The driver told us we are not welcomed back on the bus and he would leave us stranded in Pearl Harbor. We called the company but there was no answer and we left a message for the owner of the company. We decided to leave and take a taxi and abandon the tour because of how horrible the experience was. The taxi cost us $78 USD back to our hotel and eventually the owner of the company called back and apologized. The owner issued a refund for our taxi for $78 but we were never reimbursed for the tour money which we didn't even do. The horrible part was this driver has done this in the past with other tourists and this isn't the first time. He did this 2 weeks ago to another woman. The owner informed me that he fired the driver but facing the sheer embarrassment and racist remarks we left Hawaii on a completely sad note than we went in. We will never be returning to Hawaii due to how horrible this experience was and how the locals treat tourists.
We had an amazing time on the Grand Tour Harbor + City Tour in Honolulu! Our tour guide, Huma Huma — or “Handsome” as he told us to call him 😂 — was absolutely incredible. He grew up on Oahu, so he knew everything about the island and shared so much history, local knowledge, and fun facts throughout the entire tour. He made the experience so fun with great music, a great personality, and kept everything running smoothly and on time. He made sure we knew where to go, when to be back, and answered all our questions. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does and loves sharing the island with visitors. One of the most unforgettable parts of the tour was visiting the USS Arizona Memorial. It was such an emotional and powerful experience — it literally brought me to tears. Seeing it in person is something I will never forget. If you get the chance to tour with Handsome/Huma Huma, do it! He truly made our trip unforgettable. Highly recommend this tour! 🌺🌴
Amazing tour with Hamuhamu! Incredibly personable and full of love and knowledge for the history of the city and events about Pearl Harbor. Can absolutely tell they loved their role and sharing the islands history in a respectful and fun way.
Captain Jack and Kapono were absolutely incredible tour guides! The weather was extreme — heavy rain and wild conditions — but they completely made up for it with their positivity, knowledge, and constant support throughout the tour. They kept the energy high, made us feel safe, and turned what could have been a rough day into an unforgettable adventure. As Mainers, we’re no strangers to tough weather, but this was next level — and still so worth it. Their professionalism and passion truly stood out. This is an experience we will never forget. Highly recommend this business, especially with guides like Captain Jack and Kapono leading the way!
Our driver was full of knowledge about hawaii and is history. After the pearl Harbor tours, the driver took us around downtown honolulu and stopped for a brief picture taking time before doing is back off in waikiki.
All I can say it was a very expensive Uber ride because that is all we got, value for money, definitely not.Catch the local bus out for $3
Jake and Stewie did such a job organizing the whole tour. From the sight seeing,to lunch and bathroom breaks. Overall, great tour! We were able to cover a lot of things in one day.
Our family of four recently took the Pearl Harbor and Honolulu City Tour, and we had a great time! Kapono, our tour guide, was fantastic—knowledgeable, engaging, and funny. He did a great job of sharing the history in a way that was easy to understand and kept us all interested, including the teens! The stops were well-paced, and we appreciated the mix of solemn history at Pearl Harbor with the scenic and cultural highlights around the city. The only downside was the limited air conditioning on our bus, which made the ride a bit uncomfortable at times, especially in the afternoon heat. That said, it didn’t take away too much from the overall experience. Would definitely recommend this tour—especially if you get Kapono as your guide!
