I heard about this tour company watching a YouTube video by The Floating Nomads - they gave a very thorough review and although this was a bit more than I would normally pay I wanted a complete tour of Gozo that including learning about the island itself and NOT just the destinations. Well, I can tell you Lorraine, our guide, delivered!! The guide in the YouTube video seemed good but Lorraine just hit it out of the park. She really understood how to time things as every spot we went to we were pretty much the only people there until we got ready to leave and then a crowd would arrive - loved that we escaped having all those people around. She also NEVER once had to consult a map - even when the roads were closed that we were going to take - she just changed course without batting an eye. Her knowledge of the people of the island and how they live and what their culture means was what I was also really looking for as I would like to spend a few weeks there, if I can, in 2027. The other thing she did was I mentioned wanting local olive oil and at the first merchant they advised they were a few weeks out to a next batch - she did not give up and at every spot she asked and then finally found a spot where I could purchase some. Most merchants and other people we ran into knew her. As well, at each spot (which were all amazing) she walked with us to explain more and take pictures for us - very happy for that extra personal touch - it also allowed her to gauge what we were more apt to like so she could suggest other things. So although we wondered if we would get the guide from the YouTube video named Joseph we are SO HAPPY to have got Lorraine. You will not be disappointed with this tour and the value is worth it - she picked us up very easily at the ferry at 9:30 and dropped us back once we let her know we were knackered (lol) at 4:30. What a great day on GOZO!

A panoramic drive through Munxar on the way to Xlendi where we will stop for some time to enjoy the view and also can take some photos of the outstanding cliffs
Wied Il Kantra
Kantra Valley is the most beautiful area in Xlendi. Here you can get off for a small walk and check out the Tower. Further down you can also have a walk along the cliffs in Xlendi
The Citadel
Time to explore a UNESCO World Heritage fortified town situated in the small capital city Victoria. Entrance to the Citadel is free, however, entrance to the most of the museums are against a fee. Here you can take a walk through all of the Citadel as well as visiting: The Cathedral, The Old Prison, The Grain Silos and The World War II Shelter.
Ta' Pinu National Shrine
Famously known for the miracles attributed to the grace of Our Lady of The Assumption this is an important place of pilgrimage in Gozo. Thus, people from all over the world visit the shrine for offerings and blessings. The newly built church, built around the old chapel, is beautifully decorated with sculptures and craftsmanship in Maltese stone. Outside the church, its square is encircled by walls with mosaics.
Gharb
Gozo is an island of villages. Enjoy a walk through this traditional town along the narrow alleyways with colourful balconies and authentic facades.
Xwejni Salt Pans
Beautifully designed in chequerboard patterns, 3km along the coast in Marsalforn, this is the place where most locals get their table salt from. The view towards Xwejni bay is outstanding and untouched.
Wied il-Mielah Window
Following the fall of the famous Azure window, The Arch at Wied il-Mielah is the new attraction in Gozo. It is a limestone natural arch situated along the magnificent coastal views the island has to offer.
Tal Mixta Cave
The tour proceeds with a walk along the fields to reach the hidden Mixta Cave. The natural cave offers a stunning viewpoint of the famous golden Ramla l-Hamra Bay and an excellent spot to take photos. The rocks inside the cave are crystalline, composed of crystals.
Ggantija Archaeological Park
Also a UNESCO World Heritage site, standing there boastfully since circa 3600 and 3200BC, beating the pyramids of Egypt in age. The temples are a megalithic temple complex from the Neolithic period, and one can also enjoy magnificent views of the countryside. It also has an excellent museum.
Dwejra Bay
This is the location where the beautiful Azure Window stood prior to her fall during a storm in March 2017. This is also the famous location from the Game of Thrones’ Dothraki Wedding scene. You can also visit the medieval tower (entrance at a donation). This tower was used in the times of the Knights to guard Fungus Rock from anyone trying to collect the fungus melitensis (Maltese Fungus) which was believed to have unique medicinal properties. At the inland sea, it is also possible to take a short boat trip through the cave into the open seas (at a fee and weather permitting)

Fantastic tour with a Fantastic Guide - Gozo for the day

Excellent!
Our group of three couples had a great day with Kevin, our tour guide. He was knowledgeable, flexible and gave us great insights into Gozo and life on the island. Mayjo Tours was very responsive to our requests, communication was great, and we highly recommend them.

Interesting and relaxing Gozo tour
Josepu picked us up at the Gozo Fast Ferry terminal with a very comfortable, clean car. We connected right away with his friendly and helpful style. He took us to all the highlights but also asked if we’d like to see anything else. And he’s a great driver.

Beautiful experience
We had a wonderful time in Gozo with Paul. He has a fantastic personality and was an excellent travel companion/guide. He made us see Gozo in a splendid way and was accommodating to the needs of a traveling 91-year-old passenger. We would certainly seek him again on our return with the rest of the family.

We had a fabulous day touring with Kevin! There were a couple of spots that we wanted to see (Citadel and Salt Pans) and he incorporated so many other special stops into the day! Amazing tour of Gozo with Kevin
We had an absolutely amazing tour of Gozo with Kevin. Our arrival to Gozo was delayed due to cruise ship tender issues from Valleta and we had to adjust meeting to an hour later. The tour company was in constant contact and very accommodating. Once we met up with Kevin in his comfortable new car, we started an incredible 5 hour journey and experienced so many sites on the island. Kevin explained so much about culture, history, geography, customs and the wonderful kind and caring people of Gozo. Kevin was very flexible in adjusting the tour based on our preferences. We feel that we got so much “bang for our buck “ so to speak, and saw way more than expected. Another bonus was a rate reduction, due to our delayed arrival. That was not expected but very appreciated. This Gozo tour was amazing . Thanks Kevin and gang !!

Perfect Day in Gozo
We had a wonderful tour of the island of Gozo with our driver Alex. We felt extremely safe driving with him and he took such good care of us. Alex was very informative and took us to all the best places on the island and even some we were not expecting. I was concerned we would not be able to get everything done but he assured us we would and we did. He treated us like family, took pictures of us and even shared some of his own pictures of Gozo.

Incredible tour to see most of Gozo in one day!
We booked a tour last minute and this was the best decision of the whole time in Malta! Paul was incredible from the moment we met - asked the right questions (what is a must visit for us), was honest about what locations we might be disappointed by, what is important to not miss. Also, incredibly knowledgeable about the island and it was super interesting to listen to him! Even my dad, whose English skills are not the best, absolutely loved Paul! We visited multiple locations (Ta’Pinu, Citadela, Gharb, Dwejra and Inland Sea, Wied-il-Melah, Salt pans, and had enough time to swim as well! Would highly recommend and even do this again myself to visit the rest of the island!

Gozo with Mayjocarhire
An amazing tour with Alex seeing the sights of Gozo. Alex was extremely knowledgeable of the islands history. He took us to all th major attractions and also to some extra locations that were special to his heart. The views were absolutely gorgeous, his photographic skills were also amazing.
