We had a wonderful time on our tour! Ebrahim was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour so much fun!
Nevin was such a lovely guide, very knowledgeable and guided a large group of us through the Museum expertly! This was a great end to my trip to Cairo. Thank you so much Nevin for making it so memorable.
Our host, Nevin, was incredibly welcoming, funny, and an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. She made the experience memorable from the moment she picked us up from our hotel. Everything was perfectly organized and ran seamlessly, yet the tour still felt relaxed and effortless. She regularly checked in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and happy with the pace of the day. Her knowledge of Egyptian history and the fascinating stories she shared about the pharaohs were truly unforgettable and brought every site to life. We couldn’t have asked for a better host.
Amazing experience and managing individuals of multi cultures. Very informative and I enjoyed the experience.
Excellent tour! The hospitality was great! The food was divine! Thank uou
For more than certain aspects of the tour were, untouchable good due to the sites themselves mainly, utterly bad the rest. Inappropriate Interrogation & Safety Risks: Within 10 minutes of being in the car, the guide interrogated me regarding my sexual orientation. Given that homosexuality is de facto illegal in Egypt, being questioned on this by a stranger in a position of authority was a direct threat to my sense of safety and created a hostile environment. Public Hostility & Disruption: At the Grand Museum, the guide was aggressively confrontational, picking arguments with other tour guides and accusing them of being loud, when she was in fact the primary source of disruption. Her behavior was embarrassing and significantly degraded the professional atmosphere of the tour. Unauthorized Stops & Predatory Upselling: The guide deviated from the itinerary to take me to perfume and papyrus shops. Despite my repeated statements that I did not want to buy anything, I was subjected to high-pressure upselling that made me feel trapped and exploited for commissions. Discriminatory & Xenophobic Conduct: The guide repeatedly mocked French-speaking tourists and made disparaging remarks about British, Italian, and French people. This behavior is entirely unacceptable for a representative of a global brand like Viator. Solicitation & Abandonment: At the Grand Museum, the guide asked me to "leave her time to speak in private" so she could solicit other tourist for future business. I did not pay for a private tour to be sidelined so the guide could "hustle" other potential clients during my paid time. Deceptive Practices: She falsely claimed she had secured a "special" free entry to a pyramid for me, which was actually free for all tourists, in a transparent attempt to fabricate value. With having reported all of this, poor customer service from Viator side after my return from the trip. Not what you expect from a mayor site like this one, as you are left abandoned to talk to the third party using the Viator for their services.
Nevin was extremely knowledgable, easy to talk to made the trip really enjoyable and knew quite literally everyone in Egypt, every vendor, shop owner, security guard said what a great tour guide she was. She was kind and fed all the local dogs- and puppies! If you ever visit the pyramids Nevin is the GOAT! Scarlett and Karen ❤️
Wonderful day out with Niven. We experienced the Pyramids and old Cairo. Everything ran smoothly. Had a delicious local lunch and constantly felt looked after and giving flexibility if we wanted it. Went to a perfume shop and local market but at no point did we feel pushed into buying anything, but this is an option you can do or not do , depending what you in the market for. Comfortable transport and just a wonderful way to see Cairo. Local knowledge and great history.
We have just had a great day with Nevin around Cairo. We started with the pyramids and Sphinx, with Nevin picking us up on the way. The tour was informative and we even went inside one of them. After that is was a delicious local lunch before going round old Cairo, including churches, synagogue and mosque. She was funny, informative and seemingly knew most of the population of Cairo which meant we were constantly being greeted with laughs and smiles. Amazing day, thank you 🙂
Nevin was an awesome tour guide. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. Nevin brought us to a shop where you can test and buy essential oils in addition to the itinerary so if that is something you want to do, keep in mind. She was very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend!
