Description subject to misinterpretation
The boat trip for the dolphins was very pleasant and well organized; I recommend it. By
contrast, for a departure from Torremolinos, the time available to visit Gibraltar is too short and disjointed. We lost almost 1 hour and 30 minutes between our arrival and the cruise, so there was not enough time left to go to the top of the Rock. However, in the excursion description, it implies that we have 3 hours of free time after the dolphin watching. In summary: 3 hours of driving in the morning, 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting upon arrival in Gibraltar, 1 hour and 30 minutes of dolphin watching, 1 hour and 30 minutes of wasted time, 3 hours and 30 minutes for the return to Torremolinos
Operator response

Incredible experience!
The experience was very good and I recommend it 100%. A bus picked us up in the center of Málaga and we made several stops picking up more people in Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, and Estepona (this took a bit long but it is understandable). We arrived in Gibraltar and had 2 hours free (we went to Europa Point by bus) because at 12 we met up to go catch the boat. At 12:30 we got on and went in search of dolphins. We saw the dolphins quite close and it was very fun. It lasted 90 min. Afterward we had 1.5 hours to eat and return to Málaga. I am happy with the trip but it felt a bit short to us, since the excursion lasts 10 hours and 5 hours are spent on the bus.
Operator response

Disappointment
I was very disappointed with poor communication from guide and company that took us. I booked via Tripadvisor in advance and payed for my trip. I read everything carefully, what i should do before the trip and how to prepare. A day before the trip i got a message from company about pick up point and location. We drove 1.5 h till pick up point, and then i realized i didn't pack my passport. I didn't know we will need to cross the boarder. So i didn't have my passport and was left behind the boarder. It was my mistake, but I got so sad and so disappointed that nowhere did it say that i must have a passport with me. I was looking for this trip for 5 months and my disappointed was unimaginable. Please put in reminder or additional information, that all travelers must have a passport for this trip. And moreover, the trip with the bus was exhausting and very uncomfortable, i got very terrible back pain from the seats. 8 h on a bus and only 2 h on a boat (if you have a passport lf course) doesn't not seem worth it at all. So anyone reading please take this as a reminder to take your passports so you wouldn't be disappointed like i was today.
Operator response
Good morning:
Dear customer,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are truly sorry to hear that the day was so disappointing for you, especially after looking forward to the trip for such a long time.
As this excursion involves crossing a border, all travellers must carry their original valid passport or required travel document. Unfortunately, passengers who do not have the necessary documentation cannot cross the border, as this is controlled by the border authorities and is outside our control.
We are sorry that this information was not clear enough for you before the trip. Your feedback is very important to us, and we will take it into account to make the passport requirement even more visible in our reminders and communication, so future travellers can avoid this situation.
We also regret that you found the bus journey uncomfortable. We understand that long journeys can be tiring, and we appreciate your comments as they help us continue improving the overall experience.
Once again, we are sorry that you could not fully enjoy the excursion as expected, and we thank you for sharing your feedback with us.

Comfortable trip with a good tour guide.
Comfortable tour bus, great tour guide, provides very good information, but does not talk much - which is good.

Gibraltar excursion
We left Malaga. We stopped in Marbella for a break and to get a bite to eat. No restaurants or cafes open. No washrooms available. Most of us ended up going back to the bus where there was a super marche close and just picking up a pastry. The cable car was down for repairs and for those of us who chose the dolphin experience, it made the opportunity to visit the peak impossible. Taxis will only take you on the full tour for which there was insufficient time. I think we should have been made aware of this at time of booking as we may have changed our excursion. Having said that, our bus driver and Mica10 were fabulous.
Operator response
We are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced during your excursion. We understand how disappointing it must have been not to find any restaurants or restrooms available in Marbella and to discover that the cable car was out of service, especially for those who had planned the dolphin experience 🚌🌊
We appreciate your feedback regarding the need for clearer communication at the time of booking. Informing travelers in advance about temporary closures or service limitations would certainly help them plan and choose the best option. Your feedback will help us improve how we share important information and ensure our customers can make informed decisions.
We are happy to hear that our bus driver and Mica10 provided excellent service and made the day enjoyable despite the setbacks 😊🚍 Their professionalism and friendliness are precisely what we look for on every excursion.
We will review the situation and ensure that future excursions offer the best possible experience.

Seeing Gibraltar but actually not really
The trip was fairly well organized and the boat trip to see dolphins was great. We saw at least 20 dolphins. However I was shocked to realize that visit to Gibraltar doesn't actually include visit of the main thing - the Rock itself. Having never been to this place before, I didn't know it was two separate things. After the dolphins tour we didn't have enough time left to visit the Rock by our own means, so this trip was a bit of a let down.
Operator response
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and your honest feedback. We’re really happy to hear that you enjoyed the dolphin boat trip and that you were able to see so many dolphins — spotting a large group like that is always a special moment! 🐬😊
We also appreciate your comments regarding Gibraltar and completely understand your disappointment. For first-time visitors, it can indeed be confusing that the Rock visit and the free time in Gibraltar are separate experiences, especially when time is limited after the boat activity. We’re sorry that this wasn’t clearer beforehand and that you didn’t have enough time left to visit the Rock on your own.
Your feedback is very valuable to us, and we’ll review how we explain the itinerary details so future travelers can better understand the available options and plan their time accordingly.
Thank you again for traveling with us and for helping us improve our experiences.

British Charm, Mediterranean Soul
The duty-free shopping on Main Street is great for spirits and tobacco, and the currency is the Gibraltar Pound (though they take Euros and UK Pounds too). Pro-tip: walk across the runway into town rather than waiting for a bus—it’s one of the few places in the world where you can actually walk across an active airport strip!

That sounds like an amazing tip! 😄 The duty-free shopping in Gibraltar is definitely a highlight, especially for spirits and tobacco, and the convenience of being able to use Euros and UK Pounds alongside the Gibraltar Pound makes it super accessible.
And you're absolutely right—walking across the active airport runway is such a unique experience! 🌍✈️ It's one of those little adventures that makes visiting Gibraltar even more memorable.
Thanks for sharing this awesome pro-tip! If you're ever looking for more travel recommendations or things to do around Gibraltar or Málaga, feel free to reach out. We're here to help you make the most of your travels! 😊
