Description
The trek begins from Nayapul with the hike up to Ulleri. Advancing ahead, we continue our journey to Ghorepani (2,874m). The village is well-renowned for its soft-centered native Magar communities. Eventually, we proceed to the winsome viewpoint of Poonhill for a stopover to witness the mesmerizing sunrise outlook. Then, we trek to the prepossessing village of Ghandruk. The village is also celebrated as ‘the Land of Gurungs’ which is also the largest Gurung settlement in the region. there are many other perks of Ghorepani Poonhill Ghandruk trekking like you don’t need to worry about acclimatization issues and the trek is doesn’t demand much physical fitness and is appropriate for hikers with different strength levels. Similarly, March to May and September to November is the best time period that we recommend for this trek.

Unforgettable Adventure in Nepal
I had an incredible time with Ram on the Poon Hill Trek. He was professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and flexible. The beauty of the trail and scenery were unparalleled, while the tea house stops were comfortable with absolutely lovely meals. I highly recommend this company and plan on using them again for my next adventure!

Steep but worth it
My partner and I did the Poon Hill trek via Uleri, Ghorepani, and Ghandruk with our guide, Rupak. The hike was quite challenging as it is quite a steep with stone steps making the majority on the journey. We made many stops for tea and food in small towns, and were fortunate to see some wild monkeys up close. Poon hill itself had stunning views of the surrounding mountains. We were fortunate to have some clear skies when we got there. The rest of our journey was cloudy and raining.
Rupak as a very nice guide. He looked after us well and had lots of patience with our slow ascent.
The main negative part for us was the last night in Ghandruk. I would recommend not to have guests stay at the Milan hotel. The spell of old pee coming from our bathroom was so bad we had to ask for the room to be cleaned, so we spent the night smelling cleaning chemicals instead (the bathroom still smelled of pee). The towels provided were also wet when we arrived.
Overall we had a great experience.

Mera Peak trekking/climbing
Excellent experience with HTP trekking/climbing Mera Peak. The price was very reasonable to start with this company and if you add exeptional service received during the expedition it is total win for each of the expedition’s members.

We have successfully completed our trek to Poon Hill in the rainy season and it has been absolutely pleasant. The hike has taken us 5 days and thanks to Ramhari we have seen one of the most beautiful views of Annapurna South and Fishtail. His kindness, humility and wisdom in these ranges have taught me a lot not only about the mountains but also about the nepali culture. I would reccomend Ram as an expert in trekking guiding to all that desire to walk peacefully over the trekking paths of Himalayas. The company Himalayan Trekking Path has been efficiently working in my needs not only in trekking but also in photography.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek
I did the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek (8 days) with Himalayan Trekking Path in early April 2025 and had a fantastic experience.
Everything was well-organized from start to finish. The airport pickup and drop-off were punctual, and the itinerary matched exactly what was described on their website. The trek itself was beautiful, even with a bit of mist and rain, and the route was thoughtfully planned.
What really stood out was the team. My guide was knowledgeable, kind, and always attentive—I felt very well looked after the entire time. The porter was also excellent: friendly, reliable, and hardworking.
The only small issue was with the hotel in Kathmandu (Hotel Chhimeki). While the staff were friendly and the stay was comfortable, the hotel appeared to close in the evening, making it difficult if you needed to go out or return late.
Overall, I had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend Himalayan Trekking Path. If I return to Nepal, I would definitely choose to trek with them again!

Most incredible experience in Nepal! Best trek and sunrise to Poon Hill
We had the most incredible time with Ramhari on the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. The trek experience was amazing, seeing the beautiful sunrise looking at Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The organisation of our trip was seamless by Himalayan Trekking Path and had such a personal touch. Great communication with us prior to the trip, keeping us updated as well as during the trip making sure our safety and well being was priority. Food and accomodation was exceptional! Thank you so much! Cannot recommend enough. We will be back for the bigger treks to experience.

Exceptional Guide
We made memories for a lifetime on this Poon Hill trek. Ram was a terrific guide, his service before and during our trek was outstanding from the packing list to the lunch spot selections to evening accommodations, Ram had us covered. Our Nepal trek was an adventure and Ram enabled us to see and experience all of it, bravo!

Nepal trip 2024
I went to kathmandu , pokhara, ghandruk on early march 2024 , with a group of friends. Ram's service is excellent, always trying his best to accomodate our wishes , sometimes be a photographer too.

Poon Hill hike with our wonderful guide Ram!
Had a great time hiking in Nepal with our guide Ram in end Dec 2023. He took great care of us, was always attentive and yet also mindful to give us space.
Strongly recommend this company and Ram to anyone who would like to hike in Nepal!
The Poon Hill trek would be perfect for anyone who is looking for a short trip (6-7 days) and who wants to have a taste of backpacking/hiking in this scenic and amazing country without much prior training.
