Haunted Boston Ghost Tours, LLC is the oldest ghost walking tour in Boston. Owner, Hillary Kidd, started the company in 2005 as the only tour guide and the company quickly expanded with over 8 tour guides. The haunted Boston ghost tour features very little discussion of ghosts or haunting. The first stop was the entrance of a closed cemetery we didn’t tour. The second stop featured no discussion of ghosts or haunting. The third was a bandstand donated by the family of a murder victim- again no discussion of ghosts or haunting. The sites were lame and the guide added little to any story that may have been there. We peeled off after an hour in lieu of hearing more.

Haunted Boston Ghost Tours is, without question, a ghost tour. However, we take a very different approach from tours that simply sensationalize every location or present fictional stories as fact. Our tours are grounded in Boston’s actual history, documented events, and firsthand accounts of hauntings. Not every location has a ghost standing in the doorway waiting to be introduced, and we are certainly not going to invent paranormal activity simply to make a story more dramatic. The historical circumstances surrounding a location are often an important part of understanding why it has developed a reputation for being haunted. We respect your feedback, and hope you find the tour more suited to you.
Darren was our tour guide and was very entertaining. He kept my very skeptical husband interested and I enjoyed it very much. Lots of things I would never have learned about without the tour.

It was a truly enjoyable day! All of the drivers we had were fabulous! I know we had Mrs. Beantown, Lurch, Music and one other driver that started with an S! They were all extremely knowledgeable and funny! Definitely will be taking this again when we revisit Boston!

I had a fantastic experience on the Haunted Boston Ghost Tour! The tour was both entertaining and packed with fascinating information, stories, and history. Zach was an excellent guide — engaging, knowledgeable, and very respectful. He did an amazing job bringing the stories to life and keeping everyone interested throughout the tour. I liked the tour. I would personally appreciated more ghost stories. It was more about the history of locations, they didn’t go into much info on the haunts. He would just tell us the history asks say that people say it’s haunted without giving details on the haunts.

Not as described; the first half of the 1.5 hour tour was spent in 3 spots (lots of standing in one place) along the Boston Commons cemetery; from my purview it was an historical narrative rather than a ghost tour; perhaps it was a function this particular guide

If you are looking for extreme paranormal stories, this is not that tour. But if you are looking for some ghost stories and a fun way to learn about the history of the area - this one is great. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and able to answer questions. He kept it interactive. I would go on another tour with this guide again.
