Fun, Flexible Treasure Hunt Around Bath with Cryptic Clues & Hidden Gems

This was a great way to have a walk around Bath, finding out interesting things about the city and enjoying solving the clues. Difficult enough to get you thinking but easy enough not to be put off by obscure and cryptic questions. Throughly enjoyable and different. It took us to some places we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. I would recommend it for anyone visiting Bath.

Great fun. Learned a lot about bath and the clues were well done. Takes you around the Bath highlights and plenty of places to stop and rest. Great for 7 years+.

Fantastic - just completed Bath hunt having done Oxford earlier in the year. Loved every second - taking our time, no rush, so many quirky facts and fun for the whole family. Highly recommend.

Great fun family activity, everyone participated and enjoyed it. The tour took in some lovely sights of Bath and gave us new interesting information along the way, even though we've visited before. Mainly flat and some gentle inclines around the city centre so no problem taking a baby in a pram. It took us a few hours so we did take a rest half way through at the crescent park. Would definitely do another city treasure hunt.

We really enjoyed the tour of Bath that the Treasure Hunt gave us and although we had visited many times there were places we hadn’t seen. We overthought the clues sometimes and it took us all day, but we stopped for drinks and lunch so that elongated it somewhat! It was really good and we definitely recommend it.

Great way to explore a city and good fun.

Bath was the fourth one we’ve done, having previously done Liverpool, Bristol and Chester. As always we had a great time exploring a city we know and love and learning so much more about its history. We’re already our next city!

Captain Bess treasure hunts are the best way to get to know a new place. Fun puzzles and lots of facts about the place as you go round. The Bath treasure hunt is the fourth one we've done and just as good as all the others.

I went with my daughter, who knows Bath a little better than I do. We had a great time. The weather was dry but windy. That helped. We enjoyed working out the answers to the clues but when we couldn't, the hints still left us with some work to do so we still had a sense of achievement when we got it right. We met lots of other tourists doing various treasure hunts. It was fun meeting them. The maps, that were given in sections, were really easy to follow, which added to the fun because we never really got lost. I found the walking was further than I had expected. I think it would be helpful if the distance covered was listed in the description so that people can judge whether they can manage it. I am nearly 72 and I began the day with a limp. By the end my feet were sore and I was very tired but I'm still glad I did it.
