Description
Travel back to the days of the Trojan War and such legends of ancient history as Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Homer on a full-day tour of “Truva” (the historic city of Troy). Gaze on the remains of city walls that date back more than 3,000 years, and learn about landmark ruins and monuments, such as the Temple of Athena, Megaron House, and trench of Schliemann. Explore the death of Achilles near the Scaean Gate, and discover the site where the Trojan Horse was probably taken at the Gate of Troy VI. See the remains of the Roman Bath, discover where the city’s music shows and poetry readings were held at the Odeon, and go to the ruins of the Bouleuterion where the council of citizens would meet. Learn about everyday life in the city at the remains of the Agora (market place) and more. Your tour of the ruins ends at 16:30 PM with a transfer back to Istanbul at 16:45 PM, and a hotel drop off at approximately 21:30 PM.

Viator completely betrayed me and ripped me off. I did not think to check messages on the App, telling me the provider would meet me at a different time and location from the one repeatedly confirmed by email and text message. Causing me to miss the entire day trip and refusing to refund me for this poor communication. Never again!
Dear KIMBERLY MILLER; Thank you for your review but we dont have any mistake on this tour.We use the communication channels that the Viator system necessarily provides us with.When you changed hotels, you were given a meeting point near your hotel (large vehicles cannot enter your hotel's street) and the times were specified.You weren't at the meeting point at the tour time, and we tried to contact you using the phone number Viator gave us, but the phone was unreachable...We are very sorry that you were not included in the tour, but this is not our fault. Please contact Viator's guest department.
Really nice guides and drivers. Smooth trip there and back. The horse is under construction - wish I had been told that ahead of time. Also, tourists hate when guides tear down our religions, countries and politics. How is modern foreign politics and Christianity to do anything with Troia? It was really offensive to essentially call religious people stupid. Please teach guides to keep personal opinions to themselves and just teach us the history that we have paid to see and learn. Nice guide and very knowledgeable on Troia but needs a refresher coarse on professionalism and manners.

Took the Troy tour today and it couldn’t have been better. From the second of booking staff were helpful contacting me with information and from the second the tour commenced all staff were informative and helpful. Definitely would recommend to anyone visiting Turkey
