Adventure on a full day safari through the natural wonders of the Algarve, a safari through the Algarve mountains. DE enjoying a true mountain adventure in a jeep. This tour features off-road paths and rural paths, beautiful landscapes, regional architecture, medieval monument, traditional villas and natural water springs where you can dive in the waters OF the river. The tour also includes the traditional trade where we can see regional products such as liquors, honey and compotes. On offroad paths we will see large DE fruit plantations with small streams and irrigation systems left by the Romans. Itinerary
Meeting point and departure for the tour. From Albufeira we will leave for the tour, we will find the traditional Algarvian houses. On the way, we will see irrigation systems used by the former farmers of the Algarve and many of them still from Roman times.
Visit to the castle of mediaval time, the castle of Paderne is one of the castles of the Portuguese national flag. Castle from the Moorish era, when the Arabs still dominated the Algarve. In this place we will enjoy the beauty around us.
Visit to the Leitao mill and its interior. Ancient mill completely recovered.

Visit to a farm DE a local producer, who opens the doors DA his farm to go to taste the regional honey and DA water of local medronho. A place where the farmer has his own products. Visit to the mountains of the Algarve interior, where we can enjoy the view of the Algarve mountains. Passing through large fruit plantations.
Stop at the natural water sources, where you can take a dip in the crystalline waters and enjoy an old place.
Visit the village of Alte where we can visit a traditional Algarvian village and its regional beauty. Local with local commerce, where we can see the Algarvian regional products. Lunch stop at a regional restaurant.
Stop at the Fall of the Vicar a natural wonder in my of the fruit plantations DE can enjoy a moment to relax and take spent photos in the fall of water. (local conditioned to quantity DE water in the river)
Enjoy the wonderful view on the top of the mountains, where you can enjoy a baloiche and at the same time stunning views.

We were picked up by our guide John at our hotel.....and the adventure began! WOW!!! what a day fully packed with beauty, knowledge and excitement. The off road part of the trip was amazing and the smell of the eucalyptus in the air was invigorating. Everywhere we stopped the people were so welcoming and inviting. John did a great job navigating the narrow roads... do not know how they do it, driving in Madeira is not for the faint hatred. John was a wealth of knowledge and made our day so wonderful. Thank you . Was only home a week and already booked to go back in October. will definitely take another Safari then. Well worth the money for a great day. PS we did the WEST TOUR

Did a full day Jeep safari with Miquel. We enjoyed it. Miquel is an excellent driver (also off-road). He took us to the real Algarve, you come to the most beautiful places .. Really worth it, you learn a lot about the Algarve in a fun way!
Sergio, the owner, was our tour guide for the day.. His passion and enthusiasm for the history of the Algarve was amazing. As a family, we have been holidaying in the Algarve for the past 18 years and we learnt more in these few hours than we have in the whole 18 years. The Algarve has so much more to offer than just beautiful beaches. Without Sergio we would have never found these hidden gems. The visit to Alte and the windmill were especially interesting. Thank you Sergio for a really fascinating day out. Your great sense of humour made it so much fun!
