Itinerary
First street of America
It is the only known residence of a member of the Christopher Columbus's family,[1] his first-born son Diego Columbus.
The building stands on the grounds of the former Presidential Mansion (Mansión Presidencial), built during the United States military occupation of 1916-1924.
Theater
Originally built in 1508 it is now the home of a very informative museum explaining the rich history of this island and the country of Dominican Republic. It also houses a collection of weapons once owned by the Dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo Molina.
When you enter the cathedral you will feel a calmness come over you. Seeing the interior for the first time is a real experience. It is so quiet, relaxing, and overpowering and yet it has such a reverent feeling. Make sure to look up toward the heavens and notice the vaulted ceiling made to look like palm branches representing the original roof of the first church. There are many different chapels inside the large structure. The stained glass is magnificent.
is the oldest constantly inhabited city in all of “The Americas”. It is a small town nestled in the capital city of Santo Domingo on the most beautiful island in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic.
The monument is both a mausoleum and a museum showcasing objects including a boat from Cuba and Colombian jewelry. Constructed of concrete, the monument is 680 feet (210 m) long.[3] Its architecture is cross-shaped and represents the Christianization of the Americas.

The guide Kevin was great. Enjoyed the day. His headset needed a stronger signal as he kept breaking up if we got to far away from him. But it was a excellent tour
Ranae & Kevin, great experience, we saw so many things. The church was beautiful.
Kevin our tour guide along with our driver René made our day in Santo Domingo very enjoyable. Very informative and knowledgeable throughout each stop. Would recommend.
A great way to see Santo Domingo if you're staying out in Punta Cana. It's a long day, but the itinerary is well paced and the stops are genuinely worth it. You get a real sense of the Zona Colonial and how much of the Americas' history started right there, not just a quick photo stop at each site. The chocolate tour at the end was a fun way to wrap up. One tip: wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and bring extra water. You're on your feet a lot and it gets hot. Our guide Darius made it. His energy was great from the moment we got on the bus, and he switches between Spanish and English so smoothly that everyone in the group stayed included, locals and first-time visitors alike. He knows the city deeply and tells its history as a story rather than a list of dates. I came away having learned a lot. Highly recommend.
Great experience. Loved visiting the colonial zone and the lunch of local Dominican fare. Darius was a great host that provided thorough history of Santo Domingo.
Very good experience, excellent guide Nacho, delicious food. You learn a lot about the history of Santo Domingo and the Dominican Republic. Good driver Enrique!
The pickup time was on point and our guide Daniel, take time to explain everything Good
We had a great time! our guide was Darius and driver was Daniel. They were attentive and took breaks and gave us water on our way to Santo Domingo. During the tour they let us stop and look around the shops. Darius explained all the history very eloquently and detailed. we learned a lot! I definitely recommend for you guys to book this tour !
The guide Kevin and the driver Rayan were excellent. Kevin demonstrated great historical knowledge.
Kevin was our tour guide, and he did a good job explaining each part of the tour in detail. However, there were a couple of areas that could have been better. My mother in law became dizzy and had to lie down on the bus floor to recover, and I was disappointed that the guide did not check on her or ask if there was anything he could do to help. I was also expecting the tour to include at least two museums in addition to the fortress, but unfortunately, we did not. Overall, the tour was fine and Kevin was knowledgeable, but I believe the experience could be improved, especially when it comes to showing concern for guests who may need assistance and providing a more complete itinerary.
Dear Visitor, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We are pleased to know that Kevin provided knowledgeable and detailed explanations throughout the tour. However, we sincerely apologize for the aspects of your experience that did not meet your expectations. We are especially concerned to hear that your mother-in-law became dizzy and required assistance during the journey. The well-being and comfort of our guests are among our highest priorities, and we regret that you felt she did not receive the attention and support you expected in that moment. We will be investigating this situation internally with the team to better understand what occurred and take the necessary measures to improve our guest care procedures. We will also review your comments regarding the itinerary and the museums you expected to visit, as it is important to ensure that the information provided about the tour accurately reflects the experience. We truly appreciate your feedback and apologize for the shortcomings you encountered. Your comments are valuable to us as we continue working to improve the quality of our tours and the overall experience we provide to our guests.
