Description
A half-million Magellanic penguins are waiting for you in Punta Tombo, South America’s largest penguin colony. This tour begins with a two-hour drive to the Punta Tombo peninsula in the Argentinean province of Chubut. There you will find hundreds of thousands of Magellanic penguins. As you walk along the trail inhabited by penguins on both sides, you will be able to observe the different phases of these birds’ lives. Because of the proximity of the path to the nests, visitors may enjoy and learn from the penguin behavior. The path has benches for visitors to be able to rest and enjoy the view in this isolated place. After this once-in-a-lifetime experience, the tour returns to Puerto Madryn and your ship. (Note) the ticket to the pinguin colony is not included.

Curious Birds, the penguins.
Nice and relaxing experience, see such curious birds. I really enjoyed the experience, I would like to repeat it anyway.

Unique!! Spectacular!!!
I went with my wife and daughters. We had a great time!! A unique place!! We were treated wonderfully and enjoyed a lot!!!

Punta Tombo disappointment
We really enjoyed our tour with our guide Luis - very knowledgeable on the history and the flora and fauna. The description of this tour is not entirely accurate, so beware! Our group consisted of four adults, and we were crammed into a small SUV for the two hour drive each way. The return journey was trying. It also states that wifi is provided. It is not! Water bottles are to be provided, but the driver was unaware of this. After a 10 minute delay, we picked up water bottles for the journey. I have tried to touch base with the tour company to let them know of our concerns, but as of this writing, there has been no response and it has been 48 hours. So, my recommendation is to find another company for your tour to Punta Tombo and that is a shame.
