The guide assigned to your excursion has **approximately 25 years of experience in the tourism industry**. Therefore, the suggestion that he lacked experience or that our previous response was intentionally misleading is simply not accurate. We are also surprised by the statement that it was "impossible" to communicate with the guide. While we understand that communication may not have met your personal expectations, our team was present throughout the excursion to assist you, and the tour itself was completed as planned. Regarding the snorkelling equipment, we acknowledge your concerns about its appearance. However, equipment used during marine excursions can naturally be wet after being used in seawater. This does not necessarily mean that the equipment was unclean or unsafe. Our equipment is routinely used, checked and maintained for our guests. We also note your comments regarding the pickup location and equipment collection. Our previous response described our **standard operating arrangements**, but we understand that the exact sequence of the excursion may vary depending on the conditions and circumstances on the day. We regret any misunderstanding that may have arisen from this. Most importantly, from our operational records and the information available to us, the excursion proceeded normally and the services included in the booking were provided. Spanish-Speaking Guide You specifically requested a Spanish-speaking guide, and we arranged an experienced guide who speaks both Spanish and English. He has been working with Spanish-speaking guests for several years and has extensive experience communicating with international visitors. Our guides also continuously work to improve their language and communication skills through regular interaction with guests and exposure to different media. We therefore regret that you felt unable to communicate with the guide during the excursion, as this was not the service we intended to provide. Snorkeling Equipment For snorkeling activities, we work with local equipment providers. Guests are taken to the snorkeling equipment shop where they can select equipment according to their individual size and requirements. We do not simply assign random equipment to guests. We are nevertheless concerned by your comments regarding the condition and suitability of the equipment and have taken this feedback seriously in reviewing our arrangements with the equipment providers. Fruits and Drinking Water Fruits are included as part of our tour and are provided for our guests to enjoy during the excursion. Our normal practice is that guests are given priority to enjoy the fruits, and when guests have finished or are satisfied, guides and boat crew may also share what remains. This is not intended to reduce or replace the portion provided to our clients. Regarding drinking water, our tour arrangements provide water at several stages of the excursion: 1. Water is available in the vehicle for our guests, guide and driver. 2. Bottled water is provided on the boat, including a bottle for each guest. 3. During the seafood meal, water and soft drinks are also available at the restaurant. We therefore regret that you felt the refreshments provided were insufficient. Lunch and Other Tour Costs The seafood barbecue lunch is arranged as part of the booked excursion. The tour also involves several operational costs, including transportation, boat and captain services, drinking water and soft drinks, fruits, snorkeling equipment, applicable entry/conservation fees, the seafood meal, and the entrance fee for the turtle aquarium. Your Request for a Full Refund We acknowledge that you contacted us following the tour and requested a full refund. We carefully considered your complaint. However, the majority of the services included in the booking had already been arranged, provided, and paid for by our company and our operational partners. For this reason, we were unable to agree to a full refund simply because you were dissatisfied with the overall experience. Nevertheless, we want to emphasize that we did not ignore your complaint. We took the concerns you raised seriously and have reviewed the issues internally so that appropriate improvements can be made to our operations and service delivery. We would like to take this opportunity to provide some additional context regarding the turtles at the Baraka Natural Aquarium. First, we want to assure you that the turtles are not captured from the ocean for display. As we explain in our visitor briefing, they are rescue animals brought to us by local fishermen for emergency care after being accidentally entangled in fishing nets. The aquarium is a natural, saltwater sanctuary that is directly connected to the ocean. Its water level rises and falls with the tide, creating a habitat that closely mimics their natural environment. Our primary purpose for housing these turtles is for their treatment and rehabilitation. The sanctuary also serves an important educational role, providing research opportunities for students from around the world (especially from landlocked countries) and offering a responsible tourism experience. Regarding the risk of being bitten, the turtles are herbivores and naturally docile. However, we advise guests to be cautious during feeding sessions. A turtle may bite accidentally if it confuses a person's skin with the food being offered. Finally, our commitment to conservation is central to our mission. Each year in February, we release the rehabilitated turtles back into the ocean to continue their natural life cycle and reproduce.
