Itinerary
Meet your knowledgeable tour guide at your hotel lobby and start your private day tour in Taipei City. Enjoy the flexibility of this private tour and create your own custom-made itinerary with the help of your knowledgeable tour guide. This private tour provides you sightseeing not only in Taipei City but the outskirts of Taipei City like Yehliu Geopark, Shifen Waterfall or Jiufen Old street. If you are first time in Taipei, you can have the classic Taipei City tour to explore the highlights of Taipei City and schedule as follows: Begin your day trip at the most well known Longshan Temple, learn the culture & religions of Taiwan and admire the ancient architecture built in 1738.
The most prominent historical landmark in Taiwan, the CKS Memorial Hall was erected in honor and memory of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, the former President of the Republic of China, and was opened in 1980 as part of a national park and gathering area. A huge complex includes the Liberty Square, National Theatre and the Memorial Hall where you can see the show of guard exchange.
Dihua Street has been an important centre for commerce in Taiwanese products and produce such as Chinese medicinal herbs, fabrics, incense materials, and for the post-processing of Taiwanese tea since 1850s. This street offers visitors a glimpse of mid-19th century Taipei as well as the city’s thriving artistic side.
Built in 1969, the complex contains the main shrine, as well as the famous guard changing ceremony. Most visitors will leave the area as soon as the guard changing is complete, but be sure to walk inside and explore the fascinating and beautiful Chinese architecture.
Founded in the Beijing Forbidden City in 1925, the National Palace Museum moved to Taipei's Shilin District in 1949 and opened in 1965. Over 600,000 key artifacts were relocated to Taiwan to preserve them during the Chinese Civil War. Visit the museum to explore the collection—admission is optional. Note: The museum is closed on Mondays.
Discover Taiwan's iconic landmark, once the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010! Feel free to enjoy stunning views from outside for free, or take it to the next level by visiting the observatories on the 89th floor (at your own expense). Come experience the marvels of this architectural wonder!
This option offers a great vantage point to enjoy the Taipei City skyline and the iconic Taipei 101. The trail includes a roughly 40-minute stair climb—about 25 minutes to go up and 15 to come down—but trust us, the breathtaking panoramic view from the top is completely worth it! If you're not into the climb, no worries—just ask your driver or guide for other options. Maybe relax at a cozy café and enjoy a bubble tea, hot coffee, or some delicious local snacks instead. Both adventure and relaxation await!

Great experience by our Yolo Tour Guide Chiao Chiao as she guided us through Taiwan’s religious, historical, memorial, cultural and industrial achievements that helped make Taiwan become an independent country. Comfortably traveled in her clean and comfortable Toyota Corolla Cross Sport and could not have experienced Taipei and the significance of the Taiwanese people in 8hrs on our own self-guided tour.
We enjoyed our city tour with Mr. Willy who is very friendly, engaging and speak English fluently as we don’t speak and understand Taiwanese. He spoke clearly, shared facts about Taiwan history, culture, personal experiences, Taiwan rules and regulations such as no guns and firearms; very law rate in crimes and talked about politics and recent current events. He accommodated my request to do some changes in our today’s schedule and still able to see other points of interest. He gave suggestions and other options that may interest us to visit and enjoy other places in Taiwan.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Tour Guide – Vincent We had a wonderful experience with Vincent as our tour guide. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire tour. Vincent explained everything clearly, shared many interesting details about the places we visited, and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves at all times. He was very well organized, patient, and flexible with our schedule, which made the whole experience relaxing and enjoyable. His knowledge of the local history and culture added so much to our trip. We truly enjoyed our time with Vincent and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent tour guide. Thank you, Vincent, for making our day so memorable!
This excursion met our expectations and provided an enjoyable way to discover Taipei. Our guide offered clear and engaging explanations throughout the tour, helping us better appreciate the history and significance of the places we visited. The journey was comfortable, with safe and professional driving throughout. This allowed us to relax and enjoy the experience. Overall, a well-organised excursion that we would gladly recommend to others.
We have been on a number of tours such as this around the world, and I have to say that our guide Mr Vincent Lee was OUTSTANDING!! I would give him 10 Stars if I could. We had organized a full day trip and Mr Lee had some suggestions for us but there were several items on the proposed itinerary that did not match our interests. Not a problem at all! Mr Lee suggested a number of alternatives that were amazing! We visited the Shifen Waterfalls and Shifen Old Street. These were truly spectacular and we had an amazing time. He told stories and helped us to take the most incredible pictures. We visited the Martyrs Shrine / Grand Hotel / Longshan Temple and Chiang Kai Shek memorial as well before calling it a day. Along the way Mr Lee matched our interests and kept us entertained the entire way. He was a very safe and courteous driver, never in a rush. He gave us suggestions for meals and snacks to try along the way. I would highly recommend Mr Lee to anyone visiting Taipei Thank you Mr Lee!

This was a fantastic day for my husband and me. We were picked up promptly by Roger after he had communicated with us about our hopes and desires for this tour. He modified the recommendations around our wishes and their proceeded to kindly and efficiently navigated us through all the experiences we had requested. We had tried to go to Dai Tan Fung the night before, but the wait was too long. However, after talking to Roger about it, he organized for us to go up Taipei 101 and arranged for us to go to the restaurant right after and have lunch. It was much appreciated. He was knowledgeable, his English was fantastic and he made the whole day great. I would definitely recommend Roger and this trip.
