The Grand Palace is a complex of buildings at the heart of Bangkok, Thailand. The palace has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam (and later Thailand) since 1782. The king, his court, and his royal government were based on the grounds of the palace until 1925.
The temple is first on the list of six temples in Thailand classed as the highest grade of the first-class royal temples.It is associated with King Rama I who rebuilt the temple complex on an earlier temple site. It became his main temple and is where some of his ashes are enshrined.
Wat Arun is among the best known of Thailand's landmarks. The first light of the morning reflects off the surface of the temple with pearly iridescence.Although the temple had existed since at least the seventeenth century, its distinctive prang (spires) were built in the early nineteenth century during the reign of King Rama II.
MBK Center, also known as Mahboonkrong is a large shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand.At eight storey, the center contains around 2,000 shops, restaurants and service outlets, including the 4-storey Tokyu department store. MBK Center management reports daily visitor numbers of more than 100,000, half of whom are young Thai people and a third foreign visitors.
The Golden Buddha, officially titled Phra Phuttha Maha Suwanna Patimakon , commonly known in Thai as Phra Sukhothai Traimit , is a gold Maravijaya Attitude seated Buddharupa statue, with a weight of 5.5 tonnes (5,500 kilograms). It is located in the temple of Wat Traimit, Bangkok, Thailand. At one point in its history the statue was covered with a layer of stucco and coloured glass to conceal its true value, and it remained in this condition for almost 200 years, ending up as what was then a pagoda of minor significance. During relocation of the statue in 1955, the plaster was chipped off and the gold revealed.
Wat Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram is a Buddhist temple (wat) in the Dusit District of Bangkok, Thailand. Also known as the marble temple, it is one of Bangkok's best-known temples and a major tourist attraction. It typifies Bangkok's ornate style of high gables, stepped-out roofs and elaborate finials.[

We did Book weeks in advance with Big Country Experience a private Full day Tour in Bangkok for 3 persons Our creditcard was debited on December 28th. Late afternoon on December 30th. we received via Mail and WhatsApp a cancelation from the tour operator and GetYourGuide. The tour was booked for the following day. Reason for cancelation: no driver and guide available. As they had already debited our creditcard. and we are leaving Bangkok on January 2nd, we asked for an alternative : no reply from te operator nor from GetYourGuide!!! We reached out again to tell the operator that we were traveling with our 82year old mom and that it was very unlikely for her to return to Bangkok. We informed the operator that we had especially booked the short trip to Bangkok before traveling to Vietnam to show mom the city, Royal Palace and other landmarks. Still no reply or alternative provided. We finally managed to book in the hotel the exact same tour with TUI. On December 31st GetYourGuide sent us a mail explaining that the operator had to cancel the booking as many locations were closed to the public that day. Just one big lie as we did visit these locations with a different operator. Please do not book with this company if you want to be sure that you receive the service you have paid for in advance
Thank you O and Anan for the most unforgettable tour in Bangkok. We were a group of 9 and were only in Bangkok for 48 hours. We did a customized tour with airport pick up and drop off. We also visited the three largest temples in Bangkok on Day 1 and Day 2. We did the floating market and the train market. She also got us local food, coconut ice cream and sweet tangerine. She was absolutely amazing and would totally recommend asking for O as your tour guide.
