Full Day Elephant Sanctuary Mahout Experience

Our sanctuary encompasses an entire mountainside. This is as close as possible to seeing elephants in the wild in a sanctuary. It is a non-commercial experience. We have two missions: one is to care for and protect the elephants and to ensure our guests have an educational and entertaining experience. Our guest services can be summed up in one sentence: It's All About You. Elephant Retreat Sanctuary is located in the northern mountains of Chiang Mai. Take a journey into what many call the Jurassic Park of Thailand.- From enjoying an authentic Thai lunch amidst elephants to watching the Mahouts bathing with them and capturing these moments in free downloadable photos, it’s a day packed with unforgettable experiences.

Pickup Locations & Times

Guests will receive an email by 7:45 AM with their exact position in the queue. Pick-up will be between 8:00 - 9:00 AM. The driver will exit the vehicle and meet guests in the lobby.

Important Information

• Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
• Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
• Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• This activity requires guests to have good mobility.
