If you are in Dhaka for any reason, this is a good option for you.

My tour guide Shahadat is great, he explained the history and some conditions about the country, also got me to experience some different transports that is very hard for foreigners to take, like bus, boat and tuktuk.

Operator response

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed the tour and found the historical and local insights interesting. It was a pleasure showing you different sides of Bangladesh and giving you the chance to experience local transportation such as buses, boats, and tuk-tuks—experiences that can sometimes be difficult for foreign visitors to arrange on their own. Thank you again for choosing Travel Mate. I truly enjoyed guiding you and hope to welcome you back to Bangladesh in the future!

Dhaka city in full glory

Worth to take guided round in the city with driver, who can winn the traffic jams and guide, who is restricting you to buy unknown quality food from the street, despite of good smelling and nice looking.

Operator response

We’re glad to hear that you found the guided tour worthwhile and appreciated having both a skilled driver to navigate the traffic and a guide looking out for your safety. It’s important to us that you enjoy the city comfortably while avoiding any risks — even when the street food looks tempting! We truly appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you again for more safe and enjoyable explorations in Dhaka.

Excellent Travel Agent

A big thanks to Shahadat for all his help. Before I left for Bangladesh Travel Mate had a helpful website and they answered multiple emails from me, nearly always within 24 hours. No Q was too inconsequential for a response. After I arrived in Bangladesh Travel Mate very kindly re-arranged my schedule and still delivered everything I was promised after the airlines buggered my flight time. While in Bangladesh Travel Mate also assisted me with obtaining a train ticket to India. I did two full day tours and was very happy with my experience. I was extremely happy with the service and all at a fair price. I would use Travel Mate again.

A good day out

Old Dhaka town . The Ahsan Manzil (pink palace) then most exhilarating and a bit scary bicycle rickshaw ride ride through old Dhaka followed by the most delicious idinian milk tea from a market trader. The guide spoke good english and was very informative.
