Description
After meeting the driver departing to Carrara, famous in the world for the pure white marble quality, we reach Fanti Scritti where passengers start the visit at the open air marble life museum. After an amusing visit (free entrance) passengers could take a seat on the local Jeep tour company (duration approximately 70 minutes, cost € 10,00 p.p.) they will visit the largest and unique scenery of the white marble quarries where Michelangelo got the white marble blocks for his masterpieces. Then drive to Lucca and visit of the old walls ring with possibility for lunch in one of the famous trattorie. 4pm drive back to the port

Great private tour with friendly driver (Cristiano) that left us the time needed to stay at the stops in Carrara, Colonnata and Lucca. The only one was the extra ride in Carrara in a 4x4 Jeep which was very weak, maybe because of the fine rain (we only climbed up to a higher point of the mountain, away from the quarries, we heard the explanations and then we went down). Maybe the other Enterprise of tunnel exploration tours in Carrara would be better.
This was such a fun trip. Our driver was Juliano and he knew basically everything. It felt like he was cheating, because there was not a single thing that he couldn't explain :D The car ride was also really entertaining. I do not think it would've been possible for me to discover the city on my own like I did with him. He showed us secret places, I had one of the best pasta ever and I enjoyed every second of it. We saw a lot, but it was really relaxing all the time. I can't wait to book another tour and enjoy another ride with him.
