Itinerary
Easy Pickup in Le Havre Your day begins with a prompt pickup directly at your cruise port or hotel in Le Havre. A professional, English-speaking guide will greet you and escort you to a modern, air-conditioned bus. As you begin the drive, your guide will give a brief overview of Normandy’s role in WWII and what to expect during the day.
German War Cemetery Your first stop is the German Cemetery. Surrounded by peaceful greenery, this site reflects the losses of WWII from all sides. Your guide will explain its importance in the D-Day story, helping you gain quick, meaningful insight into the historical context.
Pointe du Hoc Next, you'll visit Pointe du Hoc, a key D-Day location where U.S. Rangers scaled 100-foot cliffs under enemy fire. Today, the bomb craters and damaged bunkers remain untouched. It’s a stop that offers both historical impact and a chance for photos, with minimal walking required.
Omaha Beach & Lunch Then it’s on to Omaha Beach, one of the most intense landing points during the invasion. Your guide will explain the events while you walk along the shore. During this stop, you’ll receive a pre-packed lunch, including a baguette sandwich, dessert, and bottled water, prepared for convenience so you can eat without delay.
American Cemetery Next, visit the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer. With over 9,000 graves, it’s one of the most moving stops of the day. You'll have time to see the chapel and walk briefly among the rows of headstones. Your guide will be nearby for context, but the pacing allows time to reflect quietly if you choose.
Return to Le Havre After a full but well-paced tour, you’ll return to your coach for the drive back to Le Havre. Your guide will ensure you arrive back at the ship on schedule, with time to spare. There’s no need to worry—everything has been timed with your cruise itinerary in mind.

Sam was the best guide ever! He was so knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend him and this tour to Normandy anytime!
Dr. Sam was excellent. He shared his wealth of knowledge, and was very professional. My wife and I had an excellent time learning about all the areas we visited. We have been on many tours this vacation and he exceeded our expectations and was the best tour guide we have had this vacation . We will highly recommend him to our family and friends. Sam was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable. He gave wonderful history lessons and stories along the way. His timing was very good and we loved this excursion!
This trip was well planned, and we were able to see many important sites. The guide is very knowledgeable and speaks English well. I felt proud to be an American and to know that so many of our young men sacrificed their lives for freedom. The bus was a comfortable coach and the packed lunch was surprisingly good. It was a foot long ham and cheese baguette, chips, water and very tasty macaroons.
Great excursion Bertrande was very informative the whole time. Lunch was banging, really rate the macaroni.
Easy pick up from Le Havre cruise port. Bus was new, immaculate, good AC, charging ports, and comfortable. Bert was our guide and was very informative and friendly. The lunch was very nice, and we had a surprise of cider at our last tour stop. The tour had multiple stops, with Bert giving us interesting additional information. I highly recommend!
