Described as the most romantic ruin in Wales, Tintern really does imprint itself on your memory. With its towering gothic walls, intact until the destruction of the reformation, a photographers delight. Includes travelling time.
We'll stop off in Chepstow for an hour and visit the extensive castle remains. Includes travelling time.
In its beautiful setting of tranquil gardens and a wooded country park. Founded by the Normans, developed in royal hands as a stronghold in the Middle Ages and restored as a Victorian family home, the castle has a romantic and colourful history.
First stop is the Roman Amphitheatre at Caerleon, used by the occupying Romans BUT was it also the 'Round Table' of King Arthur? Includes travelling time.

Kind of a long day. Well paced. Andy has a sensible vibe. Castlemania... Wales and the Roman's up closr.
Andy is an excellent tour operator and the stops on this trip are well-chosen and worth visiting. He’s knowledgeable about included locations, is a good judge of time needed at each spot, and shares interesting information along the way. At the same time, everyone’s creature comforts are addressed. We had a great lunch spot and plenty of pit stops. Myself and most everyone in the group I traveled with were solo travelers, and Andy was great at creating a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere that made everyone comfortable and friendly. Great experience.
All the stops were well chosen and our guide was knowledgeable and very pleasant to be with. Liked him very much.
Our guide was very skillful in driving and he was well-versed in the areas and history. He was great! In addition, his gave us accurate information about the castle and meetings, and so on. This course is valuable for visitors who love history and old constructions. In addition, this course includes all the fee to enter castles, which was very valuable and useful.
This was a great day trip. The guide was punctual, very knowledgeable and organized. There were 5 people in our group. The cost was a little more than some of the other tours, but this one included admissions for the various castles, Roman ruins/museum, and Tintern Abbey. I would highly recommend.
