Description

Manchester Wine Tours are friendly, informal and fun wine-tasting events. Each tour includes four of the best Manchester wine venues (bars, pubs, restaurants and shops). Guests taste at least 6 different types of wine with high-quality snacks. Your tour guide is a Manchester local, a qualified and experienced wine professional who can show you the art of wine tasting in a light-hearted, non-stuffy way. Along the route, you will also stop at various points of interest, such as statues of notable characters in Manchester's history. Tour groups are small with no more than 12 guests per event, which means they are friendly and intimate. Everybody has the chance to ask questions and share their own insights. This is a great way to see the city and enjoy its incredible food and drink scene. There are opportunities to buy wine to take home along the way, if you wish. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and look out for our messages regarding meeting points, etc.

Sampling Manchester’s food and drink scene with expert guide

Our guide Kelly is very knowledgeable about wines in general, the city in which she lives and the vibrant food and drink scene which it currently offers. She walked us around some lesser-known parts of the city, recognising important monuments as we wandered, taking four hours to visit four venues during which we sampled seven wines which she enthusiastically described in great detail. Food was served at each of the venues to complement the wines. This is a great way to discover what Manchester’s food and drink scene has to offer.

A great introduction to eating and drinking in Manchester

Our guide Kelly’s knowledge of both wine and Manchester is very extensive. Over four hours, she enthusiastically guided our group around four bars and restaurants within the city centre. We tasted seven different wines en route and were given extensive background information about each one. We also enjoyed food at each of the four venues which complemented the individual wines. All in all the Manchester Wine Tours are a great way to see parts of hidden Manchester whilst being introduced to some of the many fine eateries and wine bars that the city possesses.

Fantastic time spent wandering the streets of Manchester and drinking and eating in some great places that were unknown to me. Kel was a brilliant host, knowledgable about wine in an easy to understand way. Really enjoyed her company.

Simply a Must Do

Had a fantastic afternoon yesterday with Manchester Wine Tours. Kel was the hostess with the mostess, taking us to hidden venues across Manchester with very tasty snacks and a choice of lovely wines. We will definitely be revisiting those venues and planning an other tour. Cheers Kel 🍷

You must do this!

This is such a great thing to do, walk around interesting bits of Manchester, with new people, discussions on history, the area, people and places. Kelly knows and loves Manchester. The Bars and restaurants she picks for the tours are all interesting, different and clearly mad about and knowledgeable of the wines they stock and that Kelly has chosen. The wine tasted was varied and interesting and took me down some paths i might mot have chosen, but am glad i did! We walked with a Canadian Family, who were great companions and many a debate was had! The food/ snack accompaniments complemented the wines well….if you don’t do this, you’ll miss out on a great 4 hours!

Wine tour Manchester

What a fabulous way to spend 4 hours on a Sunday afternoon. This is a friendly, informal experience and a great opportunity to learn about and sample some good wines (plentiful), tasty food and meet other people. Kel is experienced in the wine industry, very personable and knowledgeable. We learned interesting facts about our wines, the restaurants we visited and Manchester history. A great mix of venues and a well thought out mix of wines which we thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend this tour to both wine buffs and amateurs and would love to do another!

Highly recommended tour!

We had a fabulous time on the wine tour a couple of weeks ago. There were only four of us on the tour. We got on very well with the other couple which certainly added to our enjoyment. Kel was very entertaining, enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we enjoyed visiting places we definitely wouldn’t have gone to otherwise. Lovely snacks too including delicious oysters. Would definitely recommend this experience and would repeat if visiting different places.
