50 Stars! Our Kids’ Favorite Experience in Florence

We had such a wonderful family cooking experience with Eat Italy! We were traveling with three generations, and this has been our kids’ favorite activity of the trip so far. Our chef was fantastic with the children. He was patient and helpful but, importantly, let them do most of the work themselves. Our 7-year-old was determined to be completely independent making his own pasta and ravioli, and he proudly gave the experience “50 stars!” Our 10-year-old is our aspiring chef, and the class only made him more excited about wanting to become one someday. Our preteen also thought it was so much fun and said he learned a lot. Getting three kids of different ages equally excited about the same activity is no small accomplishment! The adults had an equally great time. We started by making tiramisu and then moved on to pasta and ravioli. Everything was explained in a way that was easy to follow. We learned lots of practical tips about making different types of pasta, including what to do (and what not to do!), and left feeling like we could actually recreate everything at home. We are already planning our first family pasta-making night! Our chef was knowledgeable, personable and wonderful with both the kids and adults. And, of course, getting to sit down together and eat the results of all our hard work was the perfect ending. If you’re visiting Florence with children, I can’t recommend this experience enough. It was interactive, genuinely family-friendly and one of the highlights of our trip.

Memories that will last a lifetime!

One of, if not THE highlight of our family trip to Italy at the beginning of the month! Chef Clive gave our family of 5 (3 daughters) an experience to remember for life! Not being overly confident with cooking, Chef Clive made the experience accessible, entertaining and educational! Most importantly, he brought us together as a family in creating food and then gathering around the table to indulge in that very creation. Chef Clive was warm, personable and was great at managing our group to keep us all on-track with our efforts! To top it off, Chef Clive joined us at our table as each course was served, explaining how our pasta creations were prepared in the kitchen. Cannot recommend this experience highly enough!! Thank you for the experience, thank you for the memories Chef Clive!!
