Florence: Accademia Gallery & Statue of David with Uffizi Options

Description
Florence's two most famous galleries draw long lines, but with this guided tour, you'll walk past the wait at both. Your expert guide leads you straight into the Accademia for an up-close look at Michelangelo's David and the unfinished Prisoners, then through Florence's historic center to the Uffizi for a guided tour of the Renaissance's biggest hits. Along the way, you'll pass the Duomo, walk down Via Calzaiuoli, and step into Piazza della Signoria before continuing to the Uffizi. Inside, your guide unpacks Botticelli's Birth of Venus and Primavera, Raphael's Madonna with the Goldfinch, and Michelangelo's Tondo Doni, connecting the artists, patrons, and ideas that shaped the Renaissance. Pick the version of the day that fits you best: a one-hour Group Express focused purely on the Accademia and David, a full half-day group tour covering both galleries plus the historic center, or a semi-private full tour capped at 9 guests for a more relaxed pace with your guide.

Overall, this was a good tour of the Accademia Gallery and a great way to see Michelangelo’s David while learning more about the history and artwork in the museum. Our guide was knowledgeable and provided helpful information that we probably would have missed visiting on our own. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot and very crowded, which made the experience much less enjoyable. The combination of the heat, crowds, and limited space became exhausting, and by the end we were honestly ready for the tour to be over. Seeing David in person was absolutely impressive and worth experiencing, and the tour itself was well done. Our biggest issue was really the conditions rather than the tour or guide. If visiting during the busy summer months, just be prepared for significant crowds and heat.
Marco was a great guide. We enjoyed seeing David and visiting the Uffizi Gallery. We highly recommend.

Excellent time with Francesca
Great tour. Very informative and our guide Giada was incredible. Highly recommend . She is friendly and passionate about art.
It was amazing and I learned so much! Our tour guide was incredible and so knowledgeable. We even went to a local place she recommended for lunch.
This is a great tour, but I definitely suggest doing the Uffizi part as well! Giada was an amazing guide - she was knowledgeable about the histories, subject matter, and perspectives of the pieces. It really made it enjoyable to hear how and why these artworks came to be. Would love to tour the first floor of the Uffizi with her!
Very good guide, stopped for ice cream due to the intense heat, was very necessary. Good pace, got great tips for other things to see in florence.
Great tour, very informative and well paced. Highly recommend!
We booked with The Tour Guide. Our guide was Cosette and she was amazing! She shared her broad depth of history and art to make the experience come to life. I highly recommend this tour.
