Fez Guided Tour NO SHOPPING TOUR

Mohammed was an extraordinary guide; we had a wonderful time talking about history and culture and sharing his experiences with us (very knowledgeable guide (speaks 5 languages); what he doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing :-)). We opted for the no-shopping experience, with Mohammed taking us to historic places and hidden-away viewpoints. Without a doubt, get a great guide to show you around on your first few days, which sets up your holiday for any solo expedition into the Medina you wish to take later. Worth the time and effort………

We truly enjoyed our no shopping tour with Muhammed, who led us through both historical monuments and the dizzying alleys in the Medina. Muhammed is thoughtful and hospitable, and he shared with us his perspectives of Moroccan history and its place in both ancient and modern worlds. Even though it is perfectly safe to navigate the souks on our own, having Muhammed with us meant that we weren’t haggled and followed by illegal guides and shopkeepers. It made the experience more relaxed and enjoyable!!

We had Armine as our guide and he was really lovely. It was our last day in Morocco and a perfect way to finish our stay. I particularly liked the no shopping part rather it was very much a historical/cultural tour of Fes. Armine was very knowledgeable but more importantly it didn’t feel like we were being talked at all the time and felt like we had made a friend. Thanks so much Armine!

This was a wonderful and thoughtful tour. Mohammad took the time to explain the history of Fez, gave us great insight as to the daily lives of people in Morocco, and he was professional and kind. This was a cultural tour and we got to see all the beautiful sites of Fez. We saw a panoramic view of Fez, walked around the medina, saw the oldest University in the world, and got to learn that Fez founded the first mental health hospital in the world. We love to learn and this tour did not disappoint. It exceeded our expectations. Most importantly, Mohammad was true to his word, this was NOT A SHOPPING TOUR. We appreciated this so much because my only criticism about Fez was the constant pushiness of unqualified tour guides. Mohammad was professional and focused on the history and culture and never once took us to a shop to purchase anything. He had the right pace when we walked around the city, which allowed me to take a crazy amount of photos and to take our time browsing the buildings and stores. He answered all of our questions and was patient with us when we wanted more time to explore a site. I highly recommend Mohammad. We felt safe, learned a lot, and most importantly, we felt like we made a new friend.

Superb visit to the medina and outside the medina, very complete, many historical and cultural explanations provided by Mohamed. No incentive to visit the shops. The pace of the visit was pleasant, we highly recommend this discovery of Fez with Mohamed.

We spent the whole day discovering the Medina of Fez guided by the talented Mohammed, who made us discover all the hidden treasures of this fascinating city. Absolutely recommended for friendliness and preparation, it is worth relying on him to quickly orient himself and visit all the places not to be missed.

Fascinating tour through the most beautiful places of the Medina. Mohammed is a very warm and experienced guide who leaves no questions unanswered. During the tour I was able to gather many impressions about the historical Fez but also learn a lot about Islamic history and culture. Everything from the wooden museum to the tannery to the Koran school was there. Highly recommended!

Beautiful visit in Italian to the city of fes . We saw all the most beautiful and important things and were very interested in the comprehensive and interesting explanations of the Mohammed guide. I Council!!!
