The 4 hour cooking class with our two Chefs (Aladdin & lnu) was incredible. We shopped in the market for our food then went back to kitchen to prepare it. Prepared Chicken Tarjin with Lemon & onions. We highly recommend this class. We came from Tampa Florida to take the class.
This was hands down one of the very best Viator experiences I’ve ever had across countries even. I absolutely loved the welcoming energy and attention to detail the Palais Amani team put in. The whole experience felt authentic, genuine and curated. Aladdin and Chef Wafa were gems - I felt at ease with them and they took care of everyone in the group with so much attentiveness and hospitality. Besides the cookery and delicious food, I came away with rich memories and a warmth that for me is what Fes and Moroccan culture is all about. And that only starts with delectable food but covers oh so much more. Absolutely exceptional.

This was a remarkable and exceedingly enjoyable cultural experience for us. Both Fouad and Fatimazohra were gracious and fun hosts and chefs. It was great to go to the souk to see the way of life and acquire our raw ingredients. Then to the wonderful cooking class experience- so well prepared and laid out, clear and enjoyable instruction for each recipe, and sharing the conversation with our hosts with their exceptional English, with music, jokes and laughter too! So appreciated. The food looked wonderful, with decorative finishes and rich colours. And tasted absolutely delicious! Nothing was left out, with friendly staff at every turn and our certificate, recipes, fez hat and shopping basket all perfect finishing touches. This was the best cooking class - taught by a kind and knowledgeable chef. The food we created was tasty and attractive. Lots of laughter and enjoyable. Be warned that bottled water and all drinks, at both the breaks and at the lunch where you eat the dishes that you prepared, has an extra charge.

This was an excellent experience for a family with 10&12 year old kids. We did the private market tour with private cooking class, which I highly recommend. Alladin was our guide and was super engaged with the kids. It was fun, informative and delicious. We had a break while the tagine was cooking and enjoyed a cocktail on the roof enjoying the beautiful view. It seemed like every person in the building was genuinely invested in our having a good time. The kids were treated like royalty!

My wife and I had a wonderful time at our cooking class at Palais Amani Cooking School. The riad itself is beautiful, and the food we made (smoked eggplant salad, chicken tajine, and a dessert) was delicious. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and patient as well. We’d happily do it again on a future trip!

Wow! What a great experience, so glad we did it! Kids were so happy as well. We learned so much and Meriam and Fatima made is extra special. Big shoutout to Meriam, her knowledge, service and care was truly exceptional, especially with the children. They were so accommodating and knowledgeable. They were so amazing with my 7 and 11 year old. The tour was great. The food was fantastic and we were able to eat in their fine dining restaurant after. We were able to learn about culinary traditions and how to cook a tagine. It is hosted by a high end hotel in Fes, so you don't have to worry and it definitely worth the price.

Doing a cooking class at the Amani Palace was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip to Fez. The experience begins right before the kitchen: we loved the visit to the local market and all the stops to taste delicacies in the traditional shops (tasting stops). It was an authentic and engaging way to learn about the ingredients and the food culture of the medina. Our guides were absolutely fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and very attentive from start to finish. The class itself was extremely well organized and the dishes we made were superb! Bringing with us the learning of these traditional recipes and flavors is the best memory we could have brought. We highly recommend anyone who visits Fez!
