Inter island ferry
The ferry was air conditioned!! There was a lot of food to choose from including hot meals, cold sandwiches, and all kinds of pastries.

Ticket office whereabouts
Once we arrived at the ferry terminal in Papeete we had a difficult time finding where the ticket office was to show our voucher to get our tickets before noon. My husband overheard a couple mention the ticket office was downstairs so luckily we found it and got our tickets in time for the ferry. We had a delicious brunch on the ferry… Scrambled eggs, with sausage and potato rounds. The serving size was plenty for the 2 of us. We also tried the poison cru salad. It was very good. The ferry was clean and an enjoyable ride.

Yes, it was a completely normal holiday crossing, it wasn't bumpy. It was just completely normal. It didn't take long. I think it was only 20 minutes, definitely worth doing for the price, great.

The ferry was spacious and not very crowded. It left later than scheduled time, but the ride was pleasant

Easy peasy ferry trip
I got so stressed trying to book tickets for the ferry from Papeete to Moorea direct with the ferry online - half in French and couldn’t understand the conditions etc. It was a bit more expensive through Viator but I thought it was worth paying a bit more, knowing we were definitely booked and paid for through a trusted company where you can choose which currency to pay & understand the conditions. It was easy peasy swapping the Viator voucher for a ticket once in Papeete as well. Thanks Viator!
