Gorgeous solar powered boat trip
We had an excellent morning on the 2 hour bird watching tour. Our driver/ guide was wonderful: friendly, funny and knowledgeable. Couldn’t recommend this enough.

Must do activity - relaxing, beautiful and informative
The solar boat bird watching tour is a must if you are in the Faro/Olhao area, this was such a highlight of our trip and was honestly relaxing, informative and really special as we saw so many birds and admired them in their natural habitat - the Ria Formosa which is spectacular in itself. We were lucky that the captain and guide waited for us even though we were slightly late, and she was SUPER knowledgeable (and funny too!) about the birds as well as the area. Fantastic experience, highly recommend!!! P.s. to the captain, I'm so sorry we didn't tip you - we all wanted to but it was our first day and none of us had any cash!! Next time we are in Faro we will come and at least buy you lunch! You started our trip in the best way - THANK YOU!!! <3

Lovely tour, great service from Iris. Even though it rained it was worth it 👍. Went around the wetlands and we even did some birdwatching. 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent choice
My mum and I had a superb 2 hour birdwatching trip with Sebastian. He had outstanding knowledge and was extremely helpful whilst trying to ensure that we were able to see as many different species of birds as possible. Going out on a solar boat also meant that we did not scare any of the wildlife and were able to get really close to the shoreline.

If you only do one trip – this has to be the one
Our solar boat trip around the Ria Formosa Natural Park was the absolute highlight of our holiday. Even if you’re not sure that you’re interested in birdwatching, I recommend you take this trip just to experience the peace and silence of the water with an extremely knowledgeable and interesting guide. He was able to identify and point out the birds to us and because there is no noise from the boat, we were able to get up very close to the birds that included Ospreys (three of them!), my first ever sighting of a Kingfisher as well as Spoonbills, Herons, Egrets to name but a few. We have agreed that we will come back and do this trip again in the spring. It was such a wonderful experience.

We spent 2 hours aboard a solar boat for a very calming moment. The passionate guide speaks French, English and Portuguese. Discovery of many birds.

Great eco bird visit
2hrs of quite, relaxed boat trip on a eco boat. Saw eagle, osprey and two purple herons, very rare. The knowledge of the guide was extremely vast, thank you. Recommend a visit .

There could have been more birds
It would have been nice to know upfront that there is no bird season in the end of may... Therefore we only saw a few birds. Very positive was, that the boat was a solarboot and it was only a small group of people, so it could be very personal. The guide also is very nice and competent.

Excellent tour
Excellent trip, great guide and we saw some amazing birds. Spoonbills being the highlight! Also, impressed by the solar boat, very quiet to get close to the birds.
