Best experience ever.

"We had a fantastic visit to Falkirk Distillery thanks to Mr. Ray. He struck the perfect balance between warm Scottish hospitality and deep technical expertise. Mr. Ray brought the story of the distillery to life, walking us through everything from mash to dram with brilliant storytelling and humor. The tasting at the end was the highlight!"

Best Whiskey tour

One of the best whiskey tours we have done, and we have done quite a few. Scott or tour guide was brilliant, he had such knowledge and could answer all our questions, no matter how daft. Tasting was great, the whiskey was beautiful, we had the best time. Really lovely to meet the owner as well and look forward to frequenting the cafe when it is open.

A Five-Star Whisky experience

My son and I are both passionate about whisky, and we love visiting distilleries to learn more about the craft behind every dram. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of visiting Falkirk Distillery for a tour, and it was an outstanding experience. Our tour guide and Operations Manager, Ray Dundas, was exceptional. His knowledge, passion, and great sense of humour made the tour both informative and thoroughly enjoyable. He struck the perfect balance between education and entertainment, making the visit one we’ll remember for a long time. Having visited a number of distilleries over the years, I can honestly say this has been our favourite. While the larger, more established distilleries are impressive in their own right, there’s something truly special about an independent distillery. The personal touch, warm welcome, and genuine passion for whisky make all the difference. We even had the opportunity to speak to the owner while she was out walking her dog around the grounds, which perfectly summed up the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. To top it all off, our favourite dram of the day was the Kelpie Sherry Single Cask. A fantastic whisky and a fitting end to a brilliant visit. We can’t recommend Falkirk Distillery highly enough.

A last minute decision well rewarded!

We decided to visit this relatively new distillery (2020) to occupy a drizzly afternoon and were rewarded with a fantastic experience. This is a truly family run business and we were privileged to meet the founder, George, his daughter, Fiona, and Winnie the dog. Our tour guide, Ray, is the operations manager and is extremely knowledgeable about the whisky making process. He's also clearly passionate about the product and the company (he used a 3D printer to make a tool to ensure the bottle labels are straight and designed the little wooden toppers for the tasting glasses!). We tried 3 of the whiskies as part of the £25pp tour experience and then spent some time (and money!) in the well stocked gift shop. There's plenty of parking and a restaurant under construction, which should be opening soon. All in all, well worth the visit and we wish the Falkirk Whisky Distillery the very best for the future.

Excellent whisky tour.

After thinking about it for a while I finally did the distillery tour here today and I have to say it was well worth it. Ray (operations manager) was our tour guide and he took us round and was not only very knowledgeable but also funny and passionate about what he was talking about. The set up and story behind the distillery and brand is really good and it’s good to see a local business at the infancy of their journey. The tour itself was great but the whisky was even better! We got to taste their three current expressions, which were all very good (my personal favourite is the Kelpies sherry cask one, which I obviously had to buy in the shop 😋). It’s exciting to know that they have a couple more expressions due out later this year (Sauternes and rum finishes) which I will definitely have to test and add to my Christmas list. I will also look to try the restaurant out when it opens later this year- if it’s as good as the whisky then it’ll be amazing.

Lovely distillery

Visited the Falkirk Whisky Distillery. Went on a quit Monday morning and got a private tour from the operations manager. Got an excellent tour from the operations manager himself. Very nicely done, our engineers harts tikked a little faster! Nice to see this artisanal distillery. They produce 3 very nice whiskeys, we fell for the sherry cask, loves it. Got to meet the owner and his daughter. Super experience!
