The Trevi Fountain is the terminal point of the Vergine aqueduct, the most famous of Rome's fountains and the most famous in the world for its spectacular monumentality. Documented in the Middle Ages, its name derives from a place name in use in the area since the mid-12th century (regio Trivii), or from the triple outlet of the water from the original fountain. In 1640, at the behest of Pope Urban VIII (1622-1644), in conjunction with the enlargement of the square, Gian Lorenzo Bernini designed a new fountain oriented like the current one, whose construction was limited to the installation of an exedra base with a basin in front of it, leaning against the buildings that were later incorporated into the Poli Palace. Trevi fountain was amazing, although we’d booked this experience for 1.00pm on a Monday. Every second Monday the Trevi Fountain is closed for cleaning and doesn’t open to the public until 2.00pm. As we had another tour booked this complicated everything. We were able to do the Trevi Fountain experience later that evening, but no one could tell us definitely prior to us turning up if this was the case as our tickets said 1.00pm. Added stress!
Very bad, because the tickets received were not valid and tickets had to be purchased again!

Specify that you must download the various tickets. The map on the application is not valid.
To get in Basílica. Or coliseum or Trevi the tickets were vouchers. No way on app to get QR code. Even when we did find a guide to walk us thru they were normal bar codes. It was a mess. Just issue a ticket right after you book as bar code. Give printed map of meeting point. Not directions. To many people lost. And entry point persons no help Just messy.
This is a confirmation ticket. You must download it after you pay. I did not know how to do it. The lady at the line of Trevi fountain got it for me on my phone. LOl I am not tech savy!
Could not use the tickets. Uber driver was hit by a motorcycle on the way over and had to wait with police for 1 1/2 hours. When I got to Trevi finally I only had the voucher downloaded on my Wallet. Had to purchase two tickets at 2 euros each. Originally purchased four tickets but two couldn’t go.
Ease of entry and avoiding the wait for the visit. Small price for access to the fountain which is truly magnificent.
You really don’t need a ticket to see the fountain. It’s only used if you want to get near the water, but the view of the fountain is actually better from higher up (the free area)
Never again through this website... the tickets arrived late and I bought the tickets at the Fontana itself and for a better price.
