A memorable tour
I would recommend this tour to everyone who loves to experience authentic Japanese culture. Mr and Mrs Ryozo are super nice and professional. They teach us with their hearts. During the tour, they gave us tremendous encouragement. And the washi we made was so beautiful.Last but not least, I would like to give a great compliment to our translator/guide Sewyer. Because my husband forgot to bring his car license and we have to deal with a lot of cancels and came over by taxi, we were late for about half an hour. We were so sorry and frustrated at that time because punctuality is very important!!!Sewyer had done his best to help and calm us. They also managed to help us find a restaurant which we could enjoy the famous Echizen crab. I heartedly thank them for their hospitality and patience.

Unforgettable!
The guided tour through the village washi-so-sato in Echizen and the various washi paper workshops were wonderful. I learned a lot from my washi teachers and everything was perfectly organised by soe. I will definitely come back and recommend the workshops and the visit to the paper village to my friends in Switzerland. Everyone contributed to making this paper trip to Echizen a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

A unique crafts experience
I arrived at the destination by taxi, and was immediately greeted by a translator/guide, Yoshie-san. She introduced me to a few people who worked at the Ryozo Paper Mill.
I was guided through making three different styles of decorative paper, which all turned out really great! Yoshie-san helped me ask different questions about the process and the history of washi. I also got to tour their production factory where they make washi to order for other companies.
Afterwards, Yoshie-san took me to Otaki shrine, which enshrines a god of paper, where she explained the history of the shrine.
Overall, I had a lot of fun!

It was such a fun experience!
I made paper with nervousness, but I was able to experience it with peace of mind thanks to a polite call from the workshop staff. With the help of the workshop staff, I was able to make three patterns of paper, and I was especially impressed by the result of the unique mold. I want to go home and brag to everyone.
Washi Paper experience with Mrs and Mr Ryozo was the best and most authentic experience we had in Japan. We had the possibility to visit their factory in Echizen. We made several handmade papers leaning the authentic Japanese approach and we created wonderful textures on the surfaces. Mrs and Mr Ryozo are very polite and friendly. Even the English interpreter was a young guy very polite with a perfect English accent. Their factory is 5to10-minute walk from Echizen paper museums and Okamoto-Otaki Shrine (paper goddess temple). Recommended!
