Came for the stunning Inca ruins, stayed for the food! 😅 Seriously though, Waqrapukara completely stole my heart. Best day trip in Cusco, period.
From the early morning pickup to the trek's end, everything was flawless. The fortress looks like a majestic crown on the mountain. The crew carried emergency oxygen, which made us feel safe the entire time.
This is a tough trek due to the altitude, but it is 100% worth it. We barely saw any other tourists, which made it feel like a true discovery. The meals provided were fresh, warm, and highly energizing.
