We will meet the Bohemian District of the City. We will cross the famous Bridge of Sighs and appreciate Central Park.
Discover the fascinating Site Museum of Pachacámac, located inside the Archaeological Sanctuary. On display here are more than 290 original pieces of ceramics, wood and textiles, carefully preserved to reveal the greatness of the ancient civilizations that inhabited this sacred place. Among its most outstanding treasures is the imposing Idol of Pachacámac, a sculpture revered for centuries by the pre-Hispanic peoples of Peru.
Explore the impressive Archaeological Sanctuary of Pachacámac, one of the most important ceremonial centers on the coast of Peru. This ancient pre-Inca and Inca complex is made up of temples, pyramids and sacred streets built with adobe and stone.
After touring the temples and pyramids, we will ascend to the highest part of the archaeological complex, where the majestic Temple of the Sun is located. From this privileged point, visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of the Lurin Valley and the Pacific Ocean, a perfect setting to appreciate the magnitude of the sanctuary and take unforgettable photographs. Excellent. Jennifer was an amazing guide and organised the whole thing including picking us all up and doing the whole tour in both English and Spanish! It really was a fascinating visit.
Without the guide who speaks English as well as Spanish, the visit would have made little sense, as it is so difficult to understand the meaning of this immense field of ruins. Pachacamac is an extremely important site for all the great Andean or Peruvian coastal civilizations. Being made of adobe, it is much more deteriorated than stone constructions like Machu Picchu but remains a site somewhat comparable to Jerusalem for Westerners and the Arab-Muslim world, or Teotihuacan for Mesoamerica...
Our guide was amazing! Very informative and easy to understand. She even provided commentary on our drive that gave me a much better appreciation for current Peruvian culture. The site itself was very interesting, especially the fact that multiple civilizations had contributed to building on the site. I only wish we'd had a little more time to explore the museum!
All very good except the fact that our bus was not allowed to drive up the hill to the Temple of the Sun. 3 people went by foot and the rest was waiting for them.
Very good guide. The tour was very pleasant. The only things are that the pickup point could be clearer (I received information that other points were possible) and the use of the air conditioning, which made me sick.
Was very nice..is a beautiful history behind it..the guide is a funny man...tells everything in a funny fun way..for those few hours it is doable but it is not really spectacular ,but like I said..the way he tells everything, makes it a lot more fun and beautiful
Our tour guide, Mario, was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and so ready to answer any questions. He gave such great commentary everywhere we went. Pachacama was incredible. You get to go through the museum first and then walk through the actual ruins including getting an amazing view from the top. Highly recommend!
Great tour, very interesting and educational. Our guide Mario was very knowledgeable and sociable. His descriptions and information were very well delivered. The ruins are very interesting. Highly recommend for a half day tour.
Super Mario was an excellent tour guide! Extremely knowledgeable and kind, very entertaining. 10/10 experience!
