Itinerary
The tour will begin by meeting your guide at a local café, where you will learn about the fascinating history of Frida Kahlo. Your guide will tell you about her life, art, and legacy. Then, you will be accompanied to the Casa Azul Museum, where you will enter directly with the guide. During the tour, your guide will provide information about the museum’s rooms while you explore on your own. You will admire artworks, personal objects, photos, letters, and mementos of her life with Diego Rivera, her loves, and her struggles. You will see her rooms, her bed, the medical corsets she used, and the "Las apariencias engañan" collection featuring Frida’s iconic dresses. At the end of the tour, you will have the opportunity to ask the guide any questions about Frida's life and work. If you wish to stay longer inside the house, you may do so and enter as many times as you like to continue exploring at your own pace.
The tour also includes entry to the Anahuacalli Museum, where you can explore another facet of Frida and Diego's legacy. This tour does not include a guide or transportation, but you will have access to the Anahuacalli Museum to enjoy its cultural richness at your own pace.

Gained great insight into the life of Frida Kahlo and other artists of her generation
Maite was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and brought to life the story of Frida and Diego. We enjoyed having a private guide before entering the exhibit. We also had coffee at a very cute place near the Casa Azul and got to speak to learn more about Mexico with Maite.

Review of the tour to the Casa Azul The visit to Frida Kahlo's Casa Azul was, without a doubt, a visually very beautiful experience. The place preserves a very special essence and allows one to get closer to Frida's personal and artistic universe; every space, object, and detail reflects part of her personality and her history. However, I consider that the tour experience fell far short of expectations, mainly due to the quality of the guide's explanation. Although he was cordial, the information he provided was too vague and ambiguous. Furthermore, he practically did not enter the rooms to explain, arguing that the spaces were small. For the cost of $1,400, I believe a much more complete experience and a truly enriching explanation are expected. What disappointed me the most was that I remained practically alone for an hour during the tour, without receiving an adequate explanation that would allow me to understand and appreciate in depth what I was seeing. The Blue House is an extraordinary place and wonderfully reflects the essence of Frida Kahlo, but precisely because of the importance of the site and the price of the tour, the accompaniment of a guide should provide knowledge, context, and an experience that justifies the cost. The place: 5/5. The guide: 2/5. The cost-experience ratio: well below what was expected. A pity, because with a good explanation and truly professional accompaniment, the visit could become an unforgettable experience.

Dinámica en las salas: Por normativa estricta de conservación y aforos de la Casa Azul, los guías externos tienen prohibido realizar explicaciones extensas dentro de los espacios reducidos para mantener el flujo de los visitantes. No obstante, el guía debió brindarte la introducción completa, el contexto detallado en los patios e itinerarios exteriores, y acompañarte adecuadamente para que no sintieras esa falta de presencia. Friday Kahlo's life is worth a movie and visiting the casa Azul on your own, you may just not see it. Our tour guide Leonor was a good storyteller, and this is what you need as it is Frida's life that drove her art. Without this deep understanding of who she was and what she went through, her art will remain obscure. I fully recommend taking the tour.
It was a wonderful experience! Valerie Raffier was an exceptional and highly dedicated guide. She shared her knowledge in a very engaging and interesting way, answered all our questions, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Valerie was in incredible tour guide! She shared so much knowledge about the lives and legacies of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, the political and social climate during their time period, the building of Casa Azul and who inhabited it and so much more! The tour was informative, intimate and worth the cost! We spent about an hour together as a group wandering around the gardens and learning everything Valerie had to share. We then we explored inside of the home and looked at the exhibits at our own pace. I would highly recommend this tour experience to others!
